Even after reading the sales thread I had given him the benefit of the doubt until I saw what he posted here. In my biased opinion I did not deserve his response to me even though I can understand how angry he was. As for trying to contact me personally, that I did not have any time for. I meant no harm by my post, but it is the internet and lots of things can be taken out of context. I am well and truly walking away form this as it does not sit well with me.

You are right Joe, alot did get away with more than is normally allowed.
I didnt feel like punishing EVERY offender, so i drew a line....a " it stops here line"....and we had one taker...schumi
Like i had said earlier , ive had problems with schumi in the past so my patience was already worn thin with him.
You dont have to agree with it, but decisions are made with alot of information that is not available to everybody.
It sucks, yeah.
And i really hate brigging, but how else is one supposed to get someone to stop?

If I thought it was an ESL issue I would not have done so mate but it's not what I'd expect from an ESL person. It's what I'd expect from someone who grew up with English who has less than complete schooling and whilst there is no problem with that (hell, mine is hardly all that extensive) it's not exactly what one requires to gain entrance into uni. It's not the lack of education or his less than ideal grasp of the language it's the fact that that doesn't gel with his claims. If you have a graduate degree you should be aware of how to write PhD correctly for example let alone the correct nomenclature for the course you studied.

I hear you Boss. I guess he showed us his true colors here in the brig. English isn't my native language either but I try to spell check my posts before submitting. Oh, and I only have a masters degree

Joe as with most of our ESL members your grasp of English is far better than that of a lot of the native speakers.
90% of the people in my engineering department have Masters degree or better and their native language is either Hindi or Mandarin/Cantonese; and their English is on par with native English speakers. Joe is just another example of that.
Okay I cannot stay away lol. Just one more thought. The mods. and admins. are doing an excellent job here. They have been doing a lot of fire fighting over the last month on the sales threads. I doubt they need this level of cr@p as well. It would be nice if people learned how to police themselves on the sales threads, and not having to have the admins and mods doing the policing for them. From what I can see this is only a small minority of people thankfully.
I'm surprised that the sales thread didn't get shutdown after he refused to respond to Raddave's PM and R2D4's questions. He just ignores them and continues to preach random holier-than-thou BS and spout passive aggressive "God Bless" cockery.
I just realized he is from NYC, I was certain he was German or something, that would have explained his poor language skills in English (no offence to any Germans).
Anyway, I think the cost breakdown was done by some legit and respectable members here so a breakdown from him wasn't necessary. But when he exploded under a new account I think he burned a lot of bridges here.

Yes as I said before he really let down a lot of people who were prepared to vouch for him as a really nice and courteous person. I can only imagine if they look at this thread they may be embarrassed. Even though they seem like genuine supporters and AP enthusiasts. His command of English seemed fine in previous threads. Just in here yesterday he seemed to loose it. It may have been all a front before and it was the pretend Shumi those members knew. However I am inclined to believe it was just extreme anger and frustration that he was expressing here, however not in any way in an appropriate fashion. However he only ended up in the brig due to blatantly ignoring the warnings from the staff.
It is possible he was intoxicated on here yesterday that was my first conclusion, that is why I inferred he should sleep it off. I can see that thread could have been stressful for him.
F him, who cares what his excuse is, not me. Anyone trying to sell a rep in that price range should expect lots of questions. I mean I'd question the shit out of someone selling a gen in that price range also. That's a lot of funds to buy something from someone you don't know and like I said before he's an idiot for spending that much on a rep in the first place.
The ugliest thread i've seen here so far and a lot of people shown their real faces...
