I feel the buyer has snapped. This is going out of bounds.

Holding the fraud claim for just a link is not reasonable if there is 43k€ involved on the other side.
For some people a 43K gap in treasury can be life and family damaging.

This crosses my line. It’s not fun anymore.

@Vank94 you got your watch and the box
A missing link does not justify holding the claim.

Not disagreeing or taking sides at all but I think the OP maybe suffering from herd mentality, we are all slagging the scammer off and rightly so but in doing so it's a bit like we've given him permission to let it all out. I could also be talking complete bollox of course.... ;)
Why ?

If I was him I'd be doing the same. Scammer deserves zero quarter.

There is no longer any justice or integrity — this is purely retribution.

Let the scammer bring him 2k cash for his trouble and pick up the watch and box the buyer doesn't want, that will even the score.

Short of that, this is one of the rare instances the victim has some actual recourse, why should he relinquish it?

He got the watch and box he paid for.

The only missing part is a plated link.
A plated link is not a justification to hold a claim that locks 43k€ in funds

This should end here. Let the seller remain in the Brig as he did intend to defraud.

But IMHO buyer should let go now. One thing is already clear, many many of us in the thread will never sell anything to him now.

If all he wants is the link and he's satisfied at that, then let the seller send the link. Why should the buyer show him any courtesy and release any of his funds ?

I dont see the difference if it was a link or a watch, let the seller send what he promised and only then does buyer have any obligations to do anything IMO.

As @MaximillianGT posted above....."this is going out of bounds".....well out of bounds I may add.

This fraud claim must be dropped immediately.....I've been over the sales thread in question and you have received everything described therein.....as @Reaps pointed out.....the watch had precisely 9 links each side.....the same as which you have now as listed.....nowhere can I find in the sales thread that extra links were available.

The forum en mass has bent over backwards to help you in this issue.....and in return you appear to be turning up the heat.

Then of course we have the question of "threatening family" which is still to be addressed.....we don't fly that way around here mate.

Steelfish just posted the ruling.

And Reaps has already proven that on the link topic at least, the seller never promised it.

The Brig is to seek justice, not blindless revenge

I read it, I don't think it addresses the underlying issue of the intentionally hidden color mismatch but if the buyer is OK with his purchase then I guess it makes sense.

The misdirection is the reason why he will probably stay in the Brig.

But now this sad story just took a shitshow turn with the attitude of the buyer.

Let me tell you a story, so that you understand better why I am of this opinion.

There was another case some time ago, where a reputable member got screwed for over 2000€ with a dodgy « lost parcel ». He accepted a half/half settlement. I even started a contribution trend to help him recover part of his loss by sending him a share of a recent (unrelated) sales of mine.

Well, as the gentleman he is, he declined all monetary help from members and asked everyone to end the story there.

I won’t tag him here but if he reads this he will know. Many others will also know immediately who he is. Brother, you are the best.

I get it, and that's kind of you. Personally I have a tireless desire to see scammers put down and taken out of commision, in general, lest they see kindness and decide to do it to another victim. That type of personality usually doesn't stop until they are forced to stop.

Hitting them in the wallet is the ultimate weapon.

Bottom line is it appears this story have a fairly happy ending and kudos to all for making it happen.

I have read all the comments and in my opinion they are getting a bit heated, they are getting a bit heavy, they are not making any sense.
I'm in contact with Farre, he said he'll send me the extra links as soon as he's better, the links even though they weren't in the whatsapp ad were sold.
I'm not keeping any blocked accounts, the fraud report lasts 21 days, it's the revolout team that has to close the report after doing the proper checks on the seller's behaviour.
Anyways let's call it a day, I'll buy another bracelet and have everything replaced to get the same colours.

For me the matter is closed

:ROFLMAO: He sent the watch after this thread . Not a proper 'friend', i must say.

These Rollecoasters are amazing.

@Vank94 : instead of doing these moralisms, try to understand that @Reaps, @Karbon74 and others are Veterans, they know what they're saying.

Consider yourself lucky to have received the watch at all, AFTER this thread was started to help YOU.

I don't believe any Farre's Wife story, or 'write to Farre friend and he tell me farre’s car is a car junk with my extra link.'.

He's never posted in this thread, so do your own math.

Farre's Wife, Farre's imaginary Friend or Farre's Car in a Car Junk with a Patek extra link in it :D :D
Plus, this friend is VERY knowledgeable , impressivily so...he know that the extra link is in the car ! I need a friend like this :) !

So, this very thread is to help you.
Sir, English is my third language, so I take longer to read and think than Canadians. But forgive me, what extra link in the broken car are we talking about if the number of bracelet links in the listing is the same as the number of bracelet links after delivery to the buyer ?

Well you would insist by fanning the flame after receiving your items.....it didn't particularly help by posting your screen shots.

Now how 'bout those threats?

That is one problem I don’t have.
I can draw perfect circles with any hand or pick a single round lentil with chopsticks.
How did you learn to do that? Did you do a lot of meat grinders ?😁
