@Raddave @DD60 @tripdog mod's, I have received a full refund now. I received one amount initially this morning that was less than the sum sent, probably due to a change in exchange rates. This amounted to a shortfall of around 200 pounds - not my concern as I paid the price asked and expected the watch or the amount I paid back. Tinani has paid the extra so I have now had a full refund.
Thank you for your help in resolving this, and to all of the other members who have backed Eltrinita's victims, and the other victims who occasionally get 'knocked' on here. Without that culture it would be the Wild West. It is remarkable how, for a bunch of guys who probably mostly never meet in person, there is such a strong sense of moral code. As yet, I'm not even a paid member (I have requested to become one) yet you've still be a great help.

No cellphone access could have meant no access to the internet. Hospital could have instructed him to use phone in airplane mode - i.e. no electromagnetic emissions, but still operable as music player, camera, such.
Lmao. I’ve been visiting hospitals for ages and come from a family or nurses. This never happens.

I've seen and heard it before, but it was nearly 10 years ago the last time I was told it or saw a notice telling people to use "Airplane mode".

The last time I was admitted to a hospital was actually in 1994, in Munich. Cell phones were still a luxury at that time, nobody I knew carried one, although they would have existed there. It is always best to avoid hospitals, though. Statistically, they record the highest death rate per sqft.
One never knows what restrictions are in place in a particular location. I know my phone was confiscated at the embassy 3-4 years ago and returned after I left. More recently, I was told to silence (or power off) my phone at the courthouse.

Those scammers....maybe some day they just scam the wrong person who may be "different", takes a fucking plane and being the scammer on the news magazine title....

Just think, he could have just made money and community trust, had sold the watches. Now his shit is on google for potential employers to see, and he's out $7k. I seriously hope he learns from this.
