It is time for me to add my long overdue review for Steve and Theonewatches.
I have been a customer since 2017 and have bought a total of four watches during those three years. I am not a huge rep fan – I live in Japan so most of my collection is made up of Japanese Domestic Market gens, (I have a particular interest in Seiko, Casio & Citizen GPS models) but when a Swiss gen pops up that I do like, I look to Theonewatches for my rep.
I always try and do as much research as I can beforehand, and then ask Steve about availability and also his own opinion before ordering – this is especially useful when a particular model is being made by two or more different factories. I am not an expert, so appreciate hearing from someone who knows what he is talking about. Communication with Steve is always very good, and he offers his own advice & recommendations honestly and straightforwardly, even steering me away from a more expensive version of a watch when, despite its higher price, a cheaper version is actually the better rep.
I only order online after Steve has confirmed availability. I usually wait no more than a few days before receiving QC pictures + video and, again, I always ask Steve for his own opinion of the watch in case there is something that I might miss. After green-lighting, the watch is shipped quickly with a confirmation tracking e-mail.
I have always gone for the “free shipping” option and have never experienced any problems. Steve seems to know the best carrier/route to use to ensure safe delivery. I made a couple of orders this year during the Coronavirus crisis and although they took a little bit longer than usual to arrive, everything went smoothly. Watches are expertly packaged and the free designer pen he includes with each order is a nice bonus. It is also worth following his feed here, as during the year the occasional promo code will appear which is always welcome.
So, a big thumbs up from me for Steve @ Theonewatches and a big “Thank you” too.
Will be back to order again in the future.
Highly recommended.
Sean.
