Hi guys - just thought I'd share....

Just got a super avenger V1 to 8atm and a V3 to 10 atm.... working on going higher but the machine only goes to 10 atm!

Out of the box with some minor mods....

mods are:

replaced gaskets on pushers, crown and back reseated crystal, greased all gaskets. UV glue on the inner V3 ring (V1 doesnt need).

Just to say it just went from -ve pressure to +10 on all watches... so I suppose in the vacuum of space I'm good too?

It is minor! What we are showing is that a rep CAN go down as far as a gen if you take care

major is what I'm doing to the SOCH

nah mate this is not so minor. That's basically all you need to do on a rep to waterproof it. And what you're doing to the SOCH is making it franken. A rep doesn't need to be franken in order to last as long as a gen.

No no no you mis understand me... this isnt major I mean once in for a service this is just the extra step really Its really just greasing the gaskets and doing the crystal...

I replaced all the gaskets to make sure it lasts...

with the SOCH its a real work over.....

Im going for a unique rep - basically my AD was wearing a black one with a difference and I want to make a rep of it

Sorry for the thread jack but I'm in a hurry and can't really send you a PM. I'm having a gen breitling blue croc coming in and I was looking to put it on a blue SA with batons dial but from the pictures of the reps I seem to notice that the middle of the indices is chrome as well which is not the case with the gen. Is that how it really is in real life or is it just lighting playing tricks?

you mean on the super avenger? the batons themselvs? they're chrome on both gen and rep depending on what version you have of the batons dial its is just lighting playing tricks

is there a way that you can put a how to? that is very good stuff I will love to make that mode to my SOSF and go for a little swim or just do not get scare when water comes near it.

What materials did you use for that mods?

how long do those waterproofing mods last? that is, when will you have to redo your great work?

The crystal once sealed should be permanent and the gaskets should be replaced every service so 3-5 years... however again semi-permanent!
