do i believe him? hell no!, do i hope he is telling the truth? hell yes!

when it is done we will see and i hope it is everything he says but i have seen this before so his word and his pictures mean less that nothing to me. when a good review is posted with really good pictures then and only then will i believe what he is saying.

just remember gentlemen, i can take pictures of whatever i want and say anything i want, it is the internet. i want to see what someone receives for this inflated price.

hk - We are a lot closer to believing the same thing then I think you realize. For me, as with everyone elses claim on the net, I am always highly skeptical, but I just happen to believe the case is weak to call WM9 a scammer, liar or some of the other negative things I have read about him. Most of these things have been based on hearsay with no direct knowledge. As you said above, I want to see what someone receieves from WM9 for the prices he charges. The problem for me is that I personally do not know anyone who has bought a watch from him, but there seems to be no shortage of people slamming his watches when in fact they have never seen one n person.

For me, I will give him the benifit of the doubt. If the watch case he sends me is nothing like what he has promised, I will be the first to call WM9 out. Untill then, I am in the wait and see mode. If you have some specific example of WM9 lieing, not just disagreements on how accurate he claims his watch is, let me know.

I would not send my money to a known liar.

I look forward to seeing what he offers and finding out if WM9 is for real.

Pug,

You're too smart to fall for WM9 again and again and so am I. I remember the post about the "shill" and as I remember it the poster was suspected of trying to post a "glowing' report in support of WM9 and direct business WM9's way. You didn't buy, I didn't buy it - nobody bought it (although it was never proven one way or the other).

Believe me I have bought more watches from more dealers than you can imagine. I won't name dealer names, but trust me, some of our "trusted" dealers here have been less then trustworthy. When something "questionable" in nature resulted in a transaction for me, I kept it quite and resolved the issue behind closed doors. WM9 has not even come close to the type of dishonesty I have experienced.

On WM9 I posted this over at RWG:
Don't get me wrong. I have my doubts about WM9 and sure enough when you look at his dial pictures there are differences from the first dial he showed to the second. Is this because he is concocting some big conspiracy to steal our hard earned money with inferior rep watches or are they honest mistakes? Really, untill someone gets a watch in thier hands, we are all just speculating. I understand the skeptisicsm about WM9, he has sold watches for a substantialy higher price then we can get for much cheaper from the dealers we all know. But in trying to be fair, I do not know of one instance were WM9 ripped someone off or scammed someone by telling them they would get a Swiss Movm'nt when they were sent an Asian Movm'nt as an example. I also think that WM9, from what I have read, has always tried to follow up and resolve any issues with disastisfied customers, sometimes even involving refunds.

I have asked some of the people who slammed WM9 to tell us exactly how WM9 scammed them or have some one you know step up and say how WM9 stole thier money and it was dead silent. Not one! I don't even know of anyone who has ever purchased or held in thier own hands a watch from WM9 - everyone seems to me to be going by hearsay or pictures from the web. And anyone who has been around the web for a while certaintly would agree that being found guilty from hearsay and pictures taken from the web is not very credable.

The only real way to resolve all the speculation is to buy one of his watches and look for ourselves. I am going to do that (buy a 16613). If it doesn't take Gen parts with out modding, trust me, we will find out. If it has cr@ppy 18k plating, we will know. If the rehaut is off, we can all b!tch together.

Unless WM9 doesn't want my money we should know in the next month or so. Untill someone actually gets a watch, I wouldn't bank on anything that is being said by anyone, including the BS I write. It's just that, a bunch of guys just bull$h!tting as if they know...

I hope we can move on and talk about watches - not create pseudo arguements about issues that only serve to make us look like know it alls.

Like the saying goes - The more I know, the more I know that I don't know.

I like to learn form these discussions. I am not much into the personal stuff.

The jury is still out for me on WM9. I know if he makes the case he says he wil make it will be one sweet sub case. If he doesn't, I will chock it up to lesson learned, move along, forget about him and hope someone else makes the case.
Good post. I think that sums it up pretty well.

I contacted WM9 a few days ago and was told look for the watch in September. Not the first time in the rep world I have had to wait. I hope we find out next month. I will make sure I post updates here...

George said he would sell one to me in August. No message from him. I asked him a few days ago. I haven't heard anything.

I checked his page. It says all SOLD OUT, will be available in OCT.

You know want? I'm giving up esp. after re-seeing he's selling the noobmariner for $529. He's treating the customers like suckers. If the 1:1 really come into existence, I'm sure one or more of the forum dealers can get it and it won't be $499. I let somebody else be a sucker. The only advantage of getting it earlier is to satisfy my curiosity but there's a higher chance I get taken. Forget it.

Jake, you might want to think again before really paying for one.

Bk - I appreciate your concerns - but hey, someones got to do it.

I for one, prefer to speak from real experiences, not from what other people say. I hope this works out and I will keep you all posted.

Wish me luck!

Jake48, You are in the right.

Jake48, You are in the right.

I wonder why many RWI guys said that Watchmaker9 is a scam without check in actuality.
Please write a review for this Forum & RWG, and make clear Watchmaker9 is really MBW? or scam!

Cheer up! I'm a supporter of you.

This is exactly what I recommend people to do. I don't think George is a scammer, but I don't believe this watch is exclusively made for him, either. I could be wrong too... I've been wrong once or twice. :D

If there's a "1:1" Sub coming out I'm sure all the dealers will be able to source it eventually. Save your money for now. Those prices are insane.

I however do believe George is a scammer. He overcharges and uses shill reviewers on this site and others. Anyone remember that twonk with his "Day-day"?

However, By-Tor is right. This case will be everywhere as soon as it's out. I too have been wrong about stuff before, but I'm willing to do a cash bet I'm right on this. 8)

Only suckers buy from his site. I guarantee you there never was a 1 to 1. It was just a marketing ploy to swindle enough money to continue the search or R&D for one. If it even existed, you wouldn't be able to stop reading about it all over the net.
