WatchEden.com and DearWatches.com - A mystery about t/ truth

While researching something on WatchEden, I decided to look around the net a bit. To my surprise (though why it's a surprise I couldn't tell you) I see the exact same photo of a watch that I just saw on another site...

The thing that upsets me is that I was asked to pay a little more when I changed my mind on an item on WatchEden that is cheaper on your site. So, either you guys are the same or one of you are stealing photos from the other...

Why do I care? Because if I'm going to do business with someone, I get pissed when they ask for $10 more when I change my mind to cover the difference in a watch they sell for $8 less on another site. It's not about $8, it's the principal, that and I don't like feeling like I've been taken advantage of or lied to.

Same photographer yes. Images used for both sites on purpose, the watermarks are placed on original images and not edited after wards to include new watermark. Since it is doubtful that one would post non-watermarked images then add it later, seems like someone is trying to piss in my cup and tell me it's lemonade...

Those sites belong to the same person I guess [watcheden, idolreplica, rolex2u, dearwatches, etc.], the person you were talking to was probably instructed to respond that way. Mate, why don't you just buy from watcheden.com apply the $20 off coupon and be happy with it at $88 shipped [even lower than the other site]? Why make such a big fuzz? :|

I also would prefer the truth when I ask a direct question. Doesn't mean I won't deal with the folk involved but I tend top take everything they say with a grain of salt from that point on. For example I am never going to belive "gen ETA" or "Saphire crystal" when I can not even get a straight answer over a simple question such as the OP asked.

While I agree, honesty is a must, I was referring to the $8 part where you can just apply the $20 off coupon on WE and get a better discount than on the sister sites.

What in the... I thought dearwatches was the same as rolex2u and the others.... hmmm.... I might be horribly mistaken then. My recommendation is to buy from the known ones like watcheden and leave the others alone.

ThinkBachs I know you have read around. You know these guys all dropship the same watches that they never see so they obviously can't take pictures of them which means they use whatever pictures they can get a hold of which is either from the suppliers who sell the same stuff to all of them or they just rip a photo off from each other......................

sister sites are mainly done for marketing purposes to garner a greater market share out there in the internet. Obviously having 4 sites is better than one. Only we in the know about reps. know about all four sites. The casual internet stoller looking for a good, cheap fake won't know the difference and will hit the first website offering the cheapest price. Hence 4 is better than one.

I only look on Watcheden's site, and don't bother with the others. I've ordered from WE and had communications directly with Sarah. Both experiences were good. They have even extended the buy3get4 offer to us even though it is not on their website anymore.

If you find the other 3 sites are more expensive, don't visit them. They are not for you, but for the casual internet stroller who doesn't know any better.

thanks -- you know when it comes to rep ordering i have become a creature of habit and usually buy from wbk or ask wbk if he can source what i need. it never hurrts to add variety to the mix ... since in am in CONUS ... i really don't the waiting time from dealers from the far east. but good to know to compare $$$

I had the same experience. But that's not their bank charging you extra for service fees. That's your own bank or whomever your VISA is through. At least this is what I was told when I called my bank about it. Apparently VISA assesses something like a 3% service charge for all overseas purchases, even if the price is listed in US currency.
