To be clinical, addiction is:
- You sometimes use more than you would like to use. For example, one drink leads to more drinks, or one line of cocaine leads to more.
- You continue to use despite negative consequences. For example, you continue to drink even though it has hurt your relationships.
So using that standard,
1) I can control the purchase of watches. I don't buy 10 per day. Buying one doesn't lead to buying more all day long until I physically can't take it.
2) The risk of >real< negative consequences is minimal. First is the legal issue. I'm not too worried about it as prosecution is very rare. Another risk is going broke. Nope. I've got plenty of discretionary income to use for this, or vacations or whatever. I won't be robbing a gas station to buy a noob, I can guarantee that. My relations have improved as I have given some reps away as gifts as well as I now have a nice hobby around the house (fixing reps) to do instead of clash of clans.
So, for rep/watch buying I don't meet the criteria.
Now, for RWI, TD sites and other watch related time in front of the computer -- perhaps I have a developing unhealthy obsession with going on the sites multiple times a day to read about stuff. But even that has very few consequences to worry about and will likely diminish in frequency over time....maybe.
