Warning: 5 Months and Counting with Toro *Edit* Resolved

Ordered an AP Diver 3.5 from Toro in March. Approved QC, sent payment, and waited. Watch came in early April (I was ready to wait, no biggie).

Regardless of what it looks like, it's a near $400 watch, and it didn't keep time. I have <$100 auto's that keep perfect time. The second or third time I wore it (in an office, nowhere else) it stopped running at all. Contacted Toro who suggested I pay a watchsmith to service it. No one local would touch it, and I didn't want to pay $150+ shipping both ways plus wait for someone I've never met to do it.

Toro said to send it back (on my own dime) and they would fix/swap and send back. Feeling good about the service they provided thus far, and as a concession to cover shipping back, I purchased an additional watch, paid for it with shipping, with the understanding that the AP would be shipped back with it. They help me, I help them, everyone wins.

The watch I ordered came, no AP. Toro took a while to respond, and told me they forgot to send it. Said they were sending it immediately (May 29). Never gave me tracking info, watch never got delivered, and was sent back there.

Keep in mind, MONTHS have passed by this point. July 10 was when I found out it was sent back "undeliverable as addressed". This is now 3 months after I ordered it.

I'm sick of the run around, I ask if I can just get a refund so this can be over with. Toro offers me $250 in refund because "the bezel has minor scratches". Screw it, I accepted it, just wanting to be done, Jul 12.

Weeks and multiple e-mails later, Aug 2, Toro tells me they had issues with PP (which I understand) and that payment is coming that day.

Payment, of course, never came. E-mails still not responded to.

I understand the nature of these goods, blah blah blah. I have done everything I can, for months, to make life easy and try to give Toro my money for their products. As far as I'm concerned, this is a $400 or so lesson of where not to buy a rep.

I'll continue pursuing them for my product or my money, and I hope they see this post and just make right. I would be overjoyed to update this post and say "they came through with what they promised, I just had to wait a few months".

Thats def not true, if op had contacted mods am sure this would have probably been dealt with long ago. As of late toro has been having difficulty and thus have lost heir trusted dealer staus on some sites which is more detrimental to them than just a one watch or one customer loss. I have never had any issues with dealers but i did with m2m sales and the mods were very very helpful and resloved my issue rapidly for such great service i upgraded to vip and dont regret it, they deserve to,be recognized for what they do for all of us..

Trailboss is a stand up guy and doesn't allow funny business from M2M or TD sales... being a VIP is worth every penny .

Damn. Good luck and hopefully things work out. Hopefully this experience won't deter you from the world of reps. There's plenty of other outstanding TD's here that will give you excellent service.

I'm still just dealing with it personally. Toro contacted me today to tell me some dumb excuse and that it will be dealt with ASAP. (Wouldn't be surprised if this thread was seen, I'm sure it wasn't the email sent last week).

I'm not off the rep world, but one dealer for sure. Had a great experience with other TD's here, which makes this experience intolerable in comparison. I've never had such a big headache with anything I've ever purchased.

I had pretty much the same experience as you a year ago with him. He came through in the end but I'm not going through that frustration again.

Well, came through finally, only cost me $130 in restocking fees (because I "scratched the bezel" wearing it to work at my desk for a day), plus shipping, and I have nothing to show for it besides a wristie.

Lesson learned.

You got your money back because you didn't wanted the watch. Sorry about it. The watch is used. That's why no full refund.

I have sent you the watch, it is not my fault that it was returned. The address was exactly as you told me.

Should I post it here the proofs?

No proof is necessary, it's not debated. Tracking was never sent to me, it was returned to you pretty quickly, and I was never notified until I finally reached out to you to find out where it is.

The watch was not sent with the other one I ordered, as you said you would, or this whole issue would have been avoided. I'm not complaining about the restocking fee, merely including all the details. I agree, the watch is used, it spent about 15 hours on my wrist before it died. I did not debate you on this fact, and accepted your offer.

I didn't want the watch, because it's been damn near half a year and such a big headache that I just wanted to be done with it.

To me, it's worth $130 to never have to deal with you again.
