Meh -- does the color of the strap matter if its cat leather? Asking for a friend ...

For $350...I wouldnt mind a lighter shade of blue. Why put all the effort into repping the red gold if the strap is that much of an afterthought?


Only saying this bc VSF has a history of putting out great reps, including straps. Their asso straps are usually fantastic as far as reps go.

The 908 was at PT's site, but now it's gone. When it was there it was listed as 41mm and gen is 38mm and 11,2mm thick. What a disappointment it's a really beautiful watch, but 38mm is just too small for my taste.

I'd rock the 42mm anyway -- 38mm is too diminutive. My old lady tried one on and said it felt like a kid's watch. Looked like one too ...

This appears to me to be one of the few times the rep factories one-upped the gen factories insofar as aesthetics and practicality are concerned.

Agreed, but I’ve gotten out of the mind-reading business for factories haha. It would be nice if they were able to construct a thin movement with a date function, but that has proven to be incredibly difficult ...

I guess we’re in the “take what you can get” camp with these particular models ...

I love the 908, but I'm thinking the factory was reluctant to do a 38mm PAM while it's still not entirely clear the size is going to stick. I suspect it will. The gen 908 would make an incredible dress watch. I also think it's extremely unlikely that you'll ever run into anyone in the real world who a) knows it's supposed to be 38mm and b) realizes yours isn't, but I think I'm going to hold out for a V2 in the correct size anyway. When they come out with that, I'll be all like "take my money please!"

it's not impossible to rebuilt the dial with reshaped surface. You need an aluminium anodising shop, a good flatbed printer and some
smart work to copy the exact polish treatment.

Does anybody have the 908? It looks a nice apart (from the size and matte dial ????). My concern for daily wear is the thickness of the plating. Does it scratch and the steel beneath show through? And is the colour a realistic rose gold?
