Here is a clarification of the mirotime regarding the vsf that was posted yesterday. He added a comparison, worth reading.

"The most recent 802B batch we have received are made from a combination of parts with 80% from VSF and 20% V6F (VSF V6F and XF are all owned by the same people and so the factories sometimes share parts)."

Sounds like parts are running shy and they are building subs from whatever is left.

Maybe there will be a fresh batch soon? Or maybe VSF will move onto repping another model. Glad I have mine before they started fitting inferior parts?

This what another user (jeka) wrote: "According to my TD: vsf and v6f are owned by one family members, so it turned out v6f has produced much more cases than they can sell, so vsf factory owner took their cases to help them release the cases they can't sell on their own

Man, seems I haven't been following this thread for the latest days and missed something. Does this serial issue goes with the LN as well? Im waiting for QC now. Could someone be so kind to direct me to the post where this discussion about the serial started?

Strange you have correct one with s19

It is generally accepted that the latest batch of VSF 116 Subs have serials that start with S29XXXXX. I would work from there in determining which version you have.

I don’t know bud, it is from his U.K. stock. Certainly looks better than the very early example I had when they were released. Should get it Friday.

If it's from UK stock, then it's been in transit a while = away from the factory a while so safe to say that is not new stock, which is not a bad thing by the sounds of it.

It’s an S29 with 7GJ clasp.
I don’t see much of a difference, other than noticeably worse SEL on 802 watches, but still very happy with what I got

In case someone is interested to know, Yu and his staff are nothing but great to deal with. I strongly recommend him.

Now there are s19 like s29. Confirmed by vsf, Jtime told me this. I got s29 but the first rejected ones were s19

another thing, I thought the vsf subs would come with the hard plastic protective watch case

Easy to fix, and should still have the same crown height as the 3135.
