Hi Andy,

We are debating whether the white gold bezel is an obvious tell with the gen.

How is it in person since you have the gen as well?

Is it worth plating the bezel on the replica or close enough?

Still worth to get the plating. Cheap upgrade and makes a huge difference. Don't look at online pictures only, check with a real one. When you know what to look for, you see it in a few seconds. Even without a reference.

Definetly is better you are 100% correct,but i personaly like as it is but who knows maybe someday i change my mind

I bought gen bezel for my franken...and side by side I can see difference! Real white gold is wonderful.

Guys when you say gen are you taking after market 100% white gold or literally off another Rolex. Where did you source yours from?

I have found white gold bezels on eBay doe about $1k but no ‘gen’ Rolex bezels on chrono.

I think I would rather get 100% white gold instead of plating it as I’ll have to replace every couple of years from what I have read?

100 % gen. Comes from a new 126334 that installed a customized diamond bezel

I don't wear the Datejust in rough conditions so I expect the plating to hold up for ages. Even if I had to plate it every two or three years, I'd happily spend the 85 bucks instead of going for a 1000+ Euros gen bezel.

I, on the other hand, am very easy, I don't think my friends or acquaintances have ever seen a genuine datejust, so no one will ever notice the difference in the colour of the watch bezel.

I only replaced the clasp on mine (I installed an arf clasp), now it looks better.
I haven't tried changing the bracelet entirely because I don't know if it then fits the SEL properly.

Can you try to swap the hole bracelet? (with SEL) and not only the removable links..

cause the VSF first 4 link from the SEL are loose with big gab between each link

I ordered ARF bracelet for my build. I will tell you if it will fix ;-)

Anyone got where the markers are it looks like they’ve been placed too hard on and in certain light can see like a indentation around them on the dial. Just have to catch in the right light and angle. I can’t catch them with camera

For you guys a comparison shot between an ARF v3 bezel and a Genuine one.
I think it’s clearly visible that the colors are different. In addition to that the inner line of the bezel is slightly more decent and slimmer than the ARF. Other than that, ARF looks quite good IMO and without having a gen aside it’s really hard to tell
