Trusty says 15mm, perhaps just inaccurate description.
You can't swap casebacks, completely different construction

Yeah, that and those skinny odd shaped crown guards do make it a disappointment.

I would have expected a little more from VSF, but we had 4 iterations of the NTTD so I'm sure it will be a similar process here.

How different is this from the regular SMP300? From what I can tell:

• aluminum bezel insert w/ "60" instead of the lume pip
• dial swapped to the "small waves" Bond seamaster dial
• second hand swapped to white lollipop
• caseback fastened to the case with 7 screws instead of the NAIAD-locking system
• regular domed crystal swapped for inner-AR (similar if not identical to the NTTD)]\
• 007 motif printed on the see-through caseback

I think this is a case of we keep buying so they keep producing. I know they're not perfect but I don't mind the CGs too much on my NTTD V4.

And given the choice to continue to produce more reps at a high level or fix the CGs, I would choose the former.

What I was saying is the old crown guards on VSF SMPs were longer. So they don't "keep producing", it's a different case.

Personally, I would wait til they get the animation on the caseback right. Just like the newest Speedmaster Snoopy, there is a chance that those that have even rudimentary knowledge of the watch from ads and social media would ask you to take it off so they could see the Snoopy spaceship/James Bond animation. I mean if I saw a either watch in the wild I would immediately befriend the owner just to see the back.
