Just share my experience: For my dealer. I will ask him to send photos for single digit date ex 8 than 18 follow by 28 . Mainly he will wind the date for one month .These 3 calenders date will confirm the date is in centre of the window. I had my pam1314 rejected after found out the hands not like gen. Hope VS will get this small matter fix in V2.

I am keen to do the same with mine.
I did think that you could do this?

Can you let us know if PT will be happy to change the hand (even at cost) as my TD has said no

You will need to buy the new hands from PT when V2 arrives and do the work yourself. Due to covid19 imports (back)to China is a hassle.

Have PT confirmed they'll sell you the hands if/when V2 is released?

Looking forward to this! I have mine landing today, fingers crossed, and would love to see about gen hands for it.

It's a closed caseback, no clue about date wheel / overlay modding ability but why not just put a 7750 in there.

I'm always bummed that I missed out on so many awesome reps of similar specs (7750 based) from a few years ago, before I got into rep panerais. However none of my p.9000 clones have given up on me yet so maybe no need for me to care.

Curious to hear if anyone can chime in on the hand compatability though. May have to get one if so.

7750 specs per Ofrei:
  • Minute hand hole size: 1.20 mm
  • Hour hand hole size: 2.00 mm
  • Sweep seconds hand: 0.25 mm
Who feels like taking apart their new watch to measure with a vernier?

I would be willing if I had the correct tools to do so.

Spent some more time going down a hole on Panerai 9.00X movement hands, however I was unable to find much of value. A few ebay sellers list hands as working with both p.9000's and 6497's (which have hand sizes of 1.15 mm/2.00mm, minute and hour), but not very convincing based on the listings.

Hoping that one of the resident forum PAM whisperers will chime in.

Its my understanding that the old P9000 were modified 7750s but the new Clone P9000/9010 has a different construction. I.e compatibility will probably be a problem.

Probably, like many of those who wrote here, I checked most of the topics that raised this question, and nowhere, never was a specific answer given in MM.
Clone p.9000, with inscriptions in accordance with p.9010, has an individual design, and indeed has some details from 7750, but some are from miyota, and many are generally individual. Therefore, only those who, at least, independently served it, can say unequivocally.
I myself have never done this, but I SUPPOSE that even if the seats have a different diameter, then it does not differ very much, and an experienced master, if he does this operation, could adapt his hands, if necessary, this is not so difficult for someone who really has the skill of repairing watches.
Given that the cost of a new set of hands is not that great, I would buy and give it a try. If you do not do it yourself, then I think the likelihood of losing them is not great.
All I can help you objectively is a photo of the hands of a clone p.9000 from one old topic, on which it is impossible to know the size, but it is clear that it is similar.
