White Gold coating is more difficult to plate than the Yellow Gold or Rose Gold colours as the metal almost always comes in the form of an alloy and as a standard process, it shall have a rhodium coating on the top of that alloy. Maybe someone can do a rhodium coating on the top of SS and do a side by side photoshoot to understand the subtle differences in the hue.

Rolex doesn’t coat the white gold in rhodium on this piece so it looks even more grayish

Thanks for the clarifying question. I was told that it houses a VS3235. Here are some pictures of the watch that I received. Was told from the seller that its a legit VSF VS3235. My other VSF 3135 has a silent rotor. This one is loud when I shake it. Maybe I got a bad one?

3235 has a bearing on the rotor, 3135 does not. So there is 'some' rotor noise compared to a 3135.
I only hear mine if I hold it up to my ear and shake it, in a very quiet room. On the wrist not audible at all.

I just got mine as well. Supposed to be a vs3235. My serial Al starts with Q66 and clasp has sr8 serial. I Can hear the rotor as well, but only when I put my ear to it and shake it.

Read the entire thread looking for my answer but came up empty.

I see some sellers in the M2M section advertising these as replated in White Gold or Rhodium. Are the these old models or are the current VSF offerings factory plated and not just polished Stainless Steel?

I have the full on addiction. I bought an EWF assembled 126613 from a non-trusted dealer (grossly overpaid for it as a result), but I do like it anyway. I have just bought two more VSF submariners from a TD (116610 and 116618) and now I think I want another one (116619) and am checking with all TDs to find one with a VSF model. That would make 4 rep submariners for me in addition to 4 rep Daytonas - all sitting in a display case. I basically can't stop buying shiny objects.

It's a common probelm around here.

I just bought a 116619, it was a toss up between that or the 126619 but I chose the blue/blue of the smurf instead. Once I have it, I intend to have it along with my 116618 gold plated (white/yellow respectively). I have a watch box with 10 slots, nearly full.
