I do it for the same reason I buy any rep - to live the fantasy of owning something I would never buy in gen. I've never owned a gen Sub FG so these feel just like all my other reps in terms of weight and that's perfectly fine by me. No one else handles my reps so the weight of these FG reps is a moot point.
I have 8 FG/TT reps. If you take good care of them they can last a good while. Most of mine are close to two years old and still look brand new.
I put cell phone protective film on all the clasps and two links either side to prevent scratches. It works well. None of mine have any scatches or fading. You can buy pre-cut kits to do the whole watch, some people do this on their gens. If applied properly it's very hard to tell it's even there.
First QC's for your information only - I have already green'd this.
It looks great! Excellent rehaut, first R and serial in correct enough positions. Everything else looks to be of VSF standard.

Any infos on the weight? That new gold WWF Daytona apparently weighs around 186g...
Why big Rep factories wouldnt try using Tungsten in replacement of steel for gold rep watches? Tungsten has very similar weight and density with gold and they are pretty cheap material and relatively easy to work with. Just some point to ponder...
..... I can tell it's a rep on someone else's wrist by glancing at the cyclops a few times.....
This is the same old story......
In real life, more than a meter away, with reflections, lights and a moving wrist, a good rep (unless he has a huge fist) is impossible to distinguish from the gen, the rest are useless chatter only good in the forums.

Yep. It’s much improved, but it’s never been a big deal to me. I’m more into other details.
That was a quick QC, I expected to wait a week or two considering it’s not even photographed on TD websites yet. Hopefully it arrives as fast!
