What about vsf sapphire compared to the gen? And the DW?

The VSF Crystal is really nice. Unless you’re super picky you won’t have to swap it. Datewheel isn’t the worst, but it was too thick for my taste and I swapped it out.

The dw problem was fixed on the hulk tho... you should edit your comment and stating youre talking about the LN and not LV, so no one gets confused when reading your comment in the future..

Back on the subject of watches.... I wanted to fill you guys in. As you know I have both the VSF LN and ZZF V3. I decided to do a little modding yesterday... I wanted to try and combine the best of both watches and create a beautiful hulk rep containing the following

VSF Case
VSF Movement
Gen crystal
Gen datewheel
Everything else ZZF.

To my surprise, the VS3135 with ZFF’s Clean Factory dial did NOT fit into the VSF CASE... the dial diameter is slightly larger (couldn’t find my damn calipers, sorry I’d guess about 0.5-1mm). I also noticed when removing the VS3135 from the VSF case that it was pretty snug, was a bit difficult to rotate the movement in the case to remove the casing screws.

Long story short. I ended up with the following watch and I love it.

Gen Crystal
Gen Datewheel
VS3135 movement
The rest ZZF.

Sucks the CF Dial didn’t fit into the VSF case as it would have been nice to have the VSF crown guards; nevertheless I’m not a stickler on them this works for me. Just wanted to let everyone else know that you can’t swap them in case they were planning on it.

That’s great info. I got a ZZF v3 ready, the only thing I don’t like about it, is CG and serial. So I’ve been following the VSF and ZF to figure out what to use for a doner case. Guess it’s down to the ZF

I debated it today, but couldn’t find my calipers and didn’t feel like breaking out the dremel. Maybe next week I’ll give it a shot

My LN has the same DW as the LV. It’s not the early LN Super Fat DW, it’s the slightly chubby one. It’s close to gen, not bad and not a “needed” change - just like the XTAL. Definitely preference not necessity.

VSF has taught how the simplest way to identify their Hulk Submariner.

Take a UV light torch, cover the dial with your hand and take a photo with the UV light torch. If the dial will fluoresce (which is the same principle of detecting fluorescent agent in a diaper), it is 100% not genuine.

VSF uses upgraded technology and the best materials based on industry standards (which does not have fluorescent agent). It is made the same as genuine. Be it under normal light or darkness, the dial will not discolorise under UV light detection.

Here are some pics for your understanding.

I wonder how often you get UV light on your watch next to a gen in real life

What does Market version means, I also tested ZZF and ARF dial with UV torch and both results same as VSF and Gen.

the one on the right is logically ZF, due to the smaller lugs, rounded crown guards and the very pronounced bevel angle of the glass

but zf / zzf use the same bezel and dial?

I'm more interested in the difference of the ceramic than the dial on the VSF.

People are more interested in the dial because you can see actually see the difference of light / dark and the soleil pattern in a photograph. But in real life the difference of the bezel is more important IMO and Clean Factory still haven't got it right yet.

All three factories use the same bezel from CF. Don't know if the zf use the CF v1-10 but at least the zzf does. Although It looks like vsf does some afterwork on the CF bezel.
