I would like to see that comparison too. From what I've seen, VSF is hard to beat when it comes to Panerai

I am very happy with my VSF PAM 382 and PAM 968 I purchased from a RWI TD in December 2021.

What we have seen so far from VSF are old VSF-Models that are assembled from someone with some "genuine" VSF-Parts and some parts of unknown provenance. To say VSF is back is imo BS. What we see until now is a chaotic bargain counter with premium prices. Take a look at the glorious Panerai-Reps. What we see now are mostly the unpopular "Tron"- and Fibratec-Models, that only few of us wanted to have for 350 US$ before the raids and now people are fighting to buy them for almost 500 US$. Someone is making very good profits ;-)
To say VSF is really back, means that they develop new Rep-Models and new better versions of the old ones and launch them on the market. Will this happen? I dont think so. But I am sure, that we will see more old models with strange parts assembled from whoever with premium prices. Every charge just large enough to "justify" these crazy prices. VSF is dead.

From my limited reading on RWI, I have yet to read that somebody who bought a VSF watch post raid from a RWI TD has an issue with the rep VSF watch.

Cant remember if I posted this in the omega section already but I’ve purchased around 10pcs post raid (all VSF). Most of them had/have issues (marker fell off, loose/shaky crown, modder can’t remove the rotor, bleeding bezel numerals, scratched hour markers, caseback was visibly loose on one of them...you get the picture).

The quality is clearly not the same as pre-raid, when it was hard to find a defective VSF piece.

I don’t mind since I wanted the watches and fortunately my modded was able to repair them. I Will have an issue if the loose Ti crown on one of them breaks or of i can’t remove the rotor on the other watch when it needs repair.

If it makes a difference, I purchased 1 from Sead, 2-3 from Steve, a couple from Li and the rest from my wechat seller....oh, and I picked up one in a local trade which came from Lucy...so i can’t say it’s just bad QC from a particular dealer.

I know it’s anecdotal evidence but does seem like the quality is not the same as it used to be

But this anecdotal evidence you can find everywhere. In the Pam-Section you can read from users, who got hybrid watches with old version movements in newer version cases, watches with broken parts and so on. So it is a mixture of proper but before the raids unpopular models, hybrids, watches, that where prior rejected in the QC and of course proper watches too. In the German section there was the rumor, that the VSF-Rolex-Models from the NOS are assembled by Clean with old VSF-Parts. Dont know, if this true. But they had lots of quality issues too.

I read Reddit, Facebook, RWI, blogs and even TDs websites…
Decades on gen forums……..
Opened this thread hoping someone else would have good valuable information so we can add up to the hope of getting vsf opening again. Than first thing is people taking a shit in anything that is said because it didn’t came from RWI.

Ffs, we get it. We witnessed many brigs and know what a TD is.
