I'd go for a 21j vintage Tudor rep and do some DIY modding. Pretty cheap and only takes a little effort and a couple parts to make a decent watch. I built this one about a year ago and it's still going strong

It's an old strap from Panatime, they still have something similar though. I ended up ditching the buckle and adding a Black Bay deployant onto it as well

The base watch is a cartel 7928 with a 21j movement. I filed down the oversized crownguard, scuffed and repolished the case too. I replaced the original crown and tube, with an Athaya 702 set. Removed the pearl on the insert, very lightly sanded/scuffed it, and bleached it until it became a bluish color. I lightly sprayed the dial and hands with a salt solution, and covered that with a light dusting of matte lacquer. I went for the leather strap as it's cheaper, and comfier, than an accurate rivet bracelet.

It was my first build and it wasn't too difficult, even as a novice

I'm in love with it, but is it worth it to buy it as a rep? I mean, should I better get a real vintage piece?
I'm actually interested in trying to make a watch look old, it would be cool to have such experience, and it might be the perfect candidate.

Those look great! How'd you age the bezel insert on the no-date Oyster Prince? Bleach?

The straps look great too!
Thanks, it was just an old blue WSO insert that I had laying around, replaced the pip with a clark acrylic. First I sand them down to remove any clearcoat/gloss, then drop them in concentrated bleach. Making sure to rinse and wipe every so often, because they will turn pure metal very quickly...
Fantasy, but, Ive been on a blue kick lately :)
