Give it a go anyway...it may actually work in your case !

It worked! Thanks. vaccum suggested the same thing, but I misunderstood and re-tightened the screw with the stem inserted. Now, the only problem is the stem is about 3.5mm too long, so a little quality time in the garage with the hacksaw today and all should be well.

Thanks, again, Babola and vaccum. I will have some new pics this afternoon.

I think this will fast become one of my favorites.

I don't have a cutting file, vac. Perhaps I could run over to the Home Depot and pick one up, though.
