Holy crap - nice collection.

DAMN look at those straps - very nice - I suspect you made some of those yourself?! Very cool - I dig the minimal stitching and the cool overlaping leather!

Simply 'insane' - meant in the nicest of ways - enzo! :) Both the mix of vintages, dials' effects, other aging effects and variegated straps - and I can only guess how many hours of loving work have gone into these .. er, a lot!

Hats off.

If you, in your embarrassment of riches, get bored w/ one of your watch 'harem', pls PM this desperado.

Last, very well shot, I particularly like the textured base - looks like textured carbon fibre, but I surmise you haven't splurged to that degree - anyway, nicely done!

Amazing work. Mrs Pugwash approved too.

If you ever want to get rid of the one marked Radiomir Panerai, drop me a line. :D

Excellent work Enzo. The straps all look authentically vintage as if they've seen decades of abuse.

Sometimes "quick vintage" straps do not look realistic, yours look right at home on those watches.

Beautiful work there Enzo !

I'm only guessing - there should be a nice Angelus SF240 in one or maybe two of them ?!

Time to show some caseback photos? :)

cheers mate,

Fantastic collection, Enzo.

Here's an original strap (very similar in appearance to your leather and craftsmanship) on a Radiomir. I love the look of this.

Pic comes from Skeet and Urul (p.202), for a Christie's auction in 1999.

Keep up the great work. I look forward to seeing more.

Absolutely incredible!

Enzo, you were truly born with that talent. If I spent the rest of my life trying I am sure I could not achieve a collection like that.

Wow. This vintage stuff is starting to get me going. In the 2nd to last pic in the middle the radiomir...(not the cali) what dial is that????? I love it, I want it....I MUST HAVE IT. LOL :D That is the first one I have ever seen. Any history on the original?

Also I notice that the crown looks unscrewed and on the auction photo the crown is uncrewed...why?

That is a prototype, the 'first' Radiomir and is modelled the 2533. Only one was made, [or more acurrate, there is only one in existence.] The dial is totally prototypical and was never used again. The case became the one used with the 3646 models. The dial will a filled sandwich is very ROLEX in style. Especially in the dark. It reminds one too of German Pilot dials ...

The original 2533 case was unique in that it had a Windowed back case as well as a solid cover that snaps over it - this was a very interesting design and as far as I know only used the one time - which is too bad. (I have a rep 6152/1 case that has the feature, the cool thing about reps, fantasy IS an option.)

The 2533 contained a Rolex 15J movement and used a Rolex screw crown. The crown in the image is not unscrewed you are looking at the crown tube which the crown is screwed onto. This also was set a bit taller on the older models. When they got sheared off, they started bringing them in closer. It was my option to set this tube as view, as I had to mod that case to do that anyway, I made it taller than you will see on retail versions.

BTW Davidsen will build this watch for you and you can even ask for the CORRECT HANDs, which he just started selling, those pointy Rolex style ones were common on these first models - the Dodecahedroned Bezel 3646 is another Odd Vintage.

GREAT info. I would love something like this. Super stuf. Thank you!
