Dear all, good evening.

I would like to know the model of this Omega, as I could not find it online [according to the seller, the year is 1952 and cal. 505], and if there is any indication of forgery or other characteristic that could compromise the value.

Supposedly never polished, and with all original parts.

I would also like help to find a fair price for a quick sale, this one is advertised for $2,450.00.

Thank you.

Looks like a variant of the 2852. The prices run the full spectrum from $1500 to crazy high. It all depends on the condition etc. looks nice though and the price seems in line

I think it’s a 2652 Bumper
You need to get pics of the movement

Dial seems refinished
The crosshair should intersect the logo and star perfectly
This one is askew

That said, for having scoured Internet for these models, I have never come across this case and dial model as rep

Just for fun, here is a rep in gold 😅

@Karbon74 , I think the 2652 only came in SS and two tone for what I recall. The dial looks right for one though. Maybe some kind of franken build?

There has been so many variations, so who knows. At that day and age, I am pretty sure Omega would pretty much customize on request, and follow-up watchmakers would do their thing based on available parts

The reasons why I think 2652 are the drilled lugs and also the shape of the markers together with the numerals

But i am quite sure that the dial has been badly refinished

Thank you all for the clarification. One of the things that caught my attention about this watch is that among the Constellations, I have never seen one with this dial. Considering the condition of the dial, the original strap and buckle, and assuming that the movement is also in good condition, would it be worth it for $2,500.00?

Ok,
Just read the description. Nope. The dial is definitely refinished not original as claimed. The strap came off an 80’s model Connie, and that makes me suspicious as heck. I would maybe consider passing on it.

I just recently bought a 36mm 1952 Omega Seamaster "Bumper" Automatic for my wife off eBay: paid $1,125 (plus tax, plus shipping) for it. I know that the Constellation is more expensive, but purely on an emotional level, something about this watch doesn't resonate with me. I don't know if it's the greenish color or the shine . . . maybe just the photos that look weird.

That’s because of the dial, methinks.
It does not have the charm and impact of the edged Pie Pan.

Also the case is boring, no doglegs

@Karbon74 . . . when I stated it doesn't resonate with me, I meant the greenish tinted Constellation. I do like the Seamaster for my wife, and she actually picked it out of probably over 100 candidates, that's why I bought it.

Let me take this opportunity, would this Seamaster, supposedly never polished and entirely original (even crown and bruckle, except the strap), in perfect condition, would be worth $1000?

We need more details if you want some help. Also, you can search the interwebs for other examples and you can do comparisons yourself. Try looking over at chrono24.com.

Gold is now $3K per ounce, so yes, any Omega in solid 18K or 14K gold that looks great and runs fine is worth $1K.
