Anyone:
Question on using raffle parts. I get the idea on using a 3135 w/gen dial etc. I believe raffles said you had to replace crystal for a 3135 if using a Gen dial.

Second question:
what about using raffles case, raffles dial and gluing DWO ON A 2824 etc. do I need to change the crystal so the date window lines up or will it be good to go as is, with the glued DWO?
Just trying to build one for my son and see how he does with a Rep before I hand him one of my Gen’s.
Thank you!
With a gen dial you will need a 3135 crystal otherwise the cyclop is in the wrong place. The stock cyclope is for 2824 date position and Rolex 3135 position is slightly different.

Oh damn, I thought you were going to use a gen dial. The correct answer should be in the description on the dial page. And you can always ask Ken(?)/Rafflesdials. He’s helpful.

If you use a Raffles dial that says, "can be used with 3135 date wheel," or something similar, that dial has an opening for the date that fits a genuine dial or his Rolex dimension dial.
If you use a dial meant for a 2824, the date window opening will line up with a 2824 date.
- A crystal for a Rolex spaced date window will fit a dial with Rolex spacing.
- If you use an ETA movement with the standard date, you will need a crystal with a cyclops further outward so it fits ETA spacing.
***Regardless of the movement you use, the date wheel, or date wheel overlay, needs to line up with the dial you use. Whatever dial it is will determine if you need a crystal for a Rolex or ETA.
