Vintage caseback sticker project

Hi Vintage Rolex fans,

i am currently working on a fun side project. My goal is to replicate vintage Rolex caseback stickers. I know its a minor detail and not really important since most of the times the original buyers removed teh sticker (as intended) and put it on the watch documents or threw it away. But i like this vintage touch, especially when teh stickers are really worn and aged.

Goal:


I bought a new printer for my decal dial project which i awill also give a try when i figured out the printer to print a proper high resolution.

Here is my progress. I also try to recreate the real metal of the sticker. The original seems to have multiple layers.

This is amazing, I can't wait to see more from you. If you ever got time, it would be great to see a video or picture set of your process. I love people like us that just get obsessed with a minor detail and won't stop until we get it right!!

Cool project!!

There was a guy in asia selling some years ago on ebay . I bought up a few as I also like that is a detail,

they do age nicely , so once you have it to a level you like get a caseback sticker and seal it in like I did.




Here is my collection including some warranty decals and hang tag . I also bough a gen vintage box from him for cheap....well not cheap back then but would be considered a steal now!!


Not 100 sure they are gen or rep or if they were just blank gen and he added the ref # his english wasnt great .

Your stickers look great, especially the fonts.
I recreated the fonts because on 90% of the stickers you find on the net the fonts are off, its an indicator that a lot of the stickers are replicas. Also it would surprise me if the majority were gen seeing the huge number of stickers offered. I dont think its something you can easily get your hands on, like with anything coming from Rolex.
