on april the 10th i ordered a pam328 at puretime and i liked it very much, so i ordered in the beginning of july another pam312 just to have two of these nice replicas.
i asked angus before the second order if it would be the same quality and he said yes.

so i ordered a pam312. few days later the bracelet of my pam328 broke, i could't close it anymore. i had to send it back to angus for repair, i had a second bracelet.

in the meantime, end of july, the 312 arrived but it was not of that quality angus told me it would be.
the CG was misaligned the crystal was not the same quality and the movement made big noises when i was shaking it. i told angus and he said send it back.

i thought ok. a day later i wanted to put the other bracelet on my pam328 but the QR button disappeared so i had now two watches which should go back to china.
so i did and sended the 2 pams on the 10th of august to angus.

the total costs for returning the bracelet and the 2 watches was more than 25$.

six weeks later i got a letter from the german customs that there is a parcel from china and i should bring receipts and documents to collect it.

so the watches were gone.

i always ordered via the uk for 20$ extra from angus because i knew about customs problems and i asked him why he did not do the same. his answer was:

Dear Rayko,

I am very sorry about this. We always ship repairs back with airmail becase EMS/Fedex is very expensive,
needless to say about UK redirection, which is the most expensive shipping option.

It will pass the customs for sure, if not and I will reship your order. No worries.

Sorry again for the inconvenience caused.

Cheers,
Angus

than i contacted him last friday and only this reply came:

Dear Rayko,

I am sorry about this.

What does the customs want us to supply?

Please let me know and I will supply you whatever they want.

Cheers,
Angus

I AM REALLY PISSED OFF NOW AFTER PAYING OVER 600$ FOR TWO WATCHES AND AT THE END I AM HERE WITH NO WATCH AT ALL.

Have you contacted the mods yet? When was the last correspondence?

Personally, i can see that PT is still doing the right thing. Poor quality reps are common to this hobby. Can't expect every watch to be perfect. Shipping back non-EMS is also standard procedure for returns.

I understand that you paid extra to make sure the packages arrived in germany safely. Since you obviously have received the watch, doesn't that mean you got exactly what you paid for? The 20$ does not pay for reshipping.

Last friday he replied you, and then over the weekend, there's been no reply. That sounds perfectly natural to me. All my work related emails get ignored over the weekend too.

Perhaps you got into this hobby with too high an expectation?

As for what to do, posting in the forums complaining about Angus is not Step 1.

Step 1 is to contact a mod. Though, at this point, i would predict their answer would be to ask for your patience.

it is a warranty issue and i as a customer don`t have to care about their shipments. i think in this case it is their duty, isn't it. and right away after he sended me the reply email he didn't answer my emails anymore.

But Angus asked what customs need? Did you tell that? He asked for a reason and that is to help you get the watches...

1. Not surprised.

2. Take it up with a mod on the page provided for such issues. Bashing here wont help, just hurt.

what do you mean? its a criminal offense importing fakes to germany, so how to deal with the customs in that case?

This is why I never send things back...too many goddamn headaches. Watch arrives broken or whatever I contact dealer and see if they can send me what I need to rectify the problem (most cases they do) and if not I just eat it and fix myself.

Take the dealers word with a grain of salt if you ask if one rep is the same as another, do your own research first if 2 watches are comparable to one another.

hope this will soon be rectified for you...

Give Angus a chance to work this out for you. Be sure to let him know that the watches have been seized by customs. Airmail is the usuall method to ship back repairs to you and I know hindsight is 20/20 but it probably would have been a good idea to have paid a little extra to have had them come back vis the UK.

Posting the same complaint on multiple forums isn't the best move either. You should always start with a Mod on the forum that you found/bought the watch on. And that's after you tried unsuccessfully to work it out with the dealer.

Most of the mods will be less than helpful when you scatter gun your complaints everywhere. Why should they waste their time when you have multiple Mods looking into it on different forums.

Angus is known to be slow sorting things out but if you're patient and work with him he always sorts things out eventually. That's why he's a TD on most forums.

OP, I realize you're upset but I think your expectations are way too high. You're committing a crime (something you already stated) and yet you want customer service as if you bought the real deal? You have to understand the middle ground and be patient. I wouldn't get back to you over the weekend if I were Angus either. He has offered to supply you with whatever customs needs, did you clearly tell him what they are asking for? Perhaps, tomorrow, when all the rest of us normal folk get back to the daily grind you'll find the answers you're looking for in your inbox... :)

Obviously your cash is real, I work for mine just as hard as the next guy. But when I buy a cheap car I understand that there is only so much the seller can afford to cover before it's not worth his while to be selling cars in the first place. Part of the extra cost of buying a new car from the dealer is that you are covered six ways to sunday should something fail. I'm sure you guys will get squared away, it will just take more time then it would had you gone to an AD with a real watch. :)

Can you claim the watches are genuine, and that you sent them to China for repair? You have postal receipts showing you sent a package to China. They have been repaired and are being shipped back. Tell customs your watch guy in China is so much cheaper than anyone in Germany.

did the OP do that?

Yeah, seems that way. He says in his opening post that he always orders via the UK for an extra $20 to avoid potential customs issues.

If he paid extra and it wasn't shipped that way, he has every right to be pissed.

He only had it shipped that way on the initial order, as I understand he did not pay extra to have diverted through UK on the repair return.
