Might not be related to ethics ,but rather difficulty .
They are probably be as hard as AP braclets to make (or even more) but with not enough demand for it to be worth it .
VC 222 is a grail of mine so I have been following this thread.
My read is that Patrick is building this with the gen 2121 movement. Hence this will not be a volume game and hence no factory would want to produce the bracelet. My guess.

Yeh no need to use that movement. With no seconds hand a quartz version I would of brought.
Agreed, no seconds hand + closed case back seems prime for a thin quartz movement. Still interested regardless!
Yes exactly get the dial correct case and bracelet finishing is key to this model.

Not quite like gen but the high end/expensive SM bracelets are top tier, better than even rep bracelets imho, their new Jianzhan style bracelets are impeccable in quality
