As always, thank you @Singapore9!

Sent the links a message for 7016. Lobtime crystals looks great as well. I wouldnt mind the rep bracelet, i like how it matches the overall age of the watch.

Hey guys, would any of you know an updated website for vintagewatchesmq? I tried to contact them about a dial but seems like their email address is not working. You guys know how to get in touch with them?

Thanks! Sent them an inquiry for the dial 😊

For the bracelet, i really wanted to keep it on one. While it sure looks great on a nato strap, i really like the allure of the old style riveted/folded in links. I understand that for the 7016 the correct links are riveted. And its a 7206 in particular. I still havent find one apart from bivintage. You guys know where to find a good quality one?

News came back from the watchmaker. Balance spring needs replacing. He said he will try to repair it. Are these balance wheels repairable? Im currently trying to help out the watchmaker. Seems like parts for the 2483 movement are very hard to find. But i read on some other forums that parts from a 2451 or 2428 will work as well. Do you guys know if this is true? Hope you guys have experience on this matter as well.

All the parts in the 24xx series should be compatible.

Yep, per the other thread, think 2452 is the base calibre... should fit! Someone does a high end 7206... can't think who it is! Will rack my brain and revert!

Well noted with the ETA movement. Cant find any for the 2483 movement but found 2451 parts and an actual movement. Waiting for the parts to come in the mail now.

For the bezel, i was looking around and narrowed down my preferences with jensen, vintagewatchmq. Both are looks great. I will go for the long 5 as @Singapore9 suggested.

Im looking at some of jenses ads and found this;

Is this ok? Looks good to me aside from the triangle on the 12. Are there versions like this? Doesnt go all the way to the edge. Cant find a gen reference for it. A bit inclined at vintagewatchmq because of this. Problem is they havent yet responded with my email, and its been 3 days.

So vintagewatchmq replied. But oh man, the prices are wow. So got to source out more options for bezel, dial and bracelet.

MQ is outrageous money and not worth it at all for inserts... Jensen's inserts are good value for money but their fonts aren't good IMHO.

As far as I am concerned, if you're not going GEN, you go with Crown Art Customs, as much of a total bell end that he is.

Else, yeah, skim through Lobtime as the Long 5 as it their only insert and you might prefer a Mk3 or other - think they're probably the best value.

Watch is still with the watchmaker, finally sourced out a balance wheel for it. Hopefully it works out. Started to clean out the bezel and the pip came flying off. Cant find it now. Do you guys have any idea of this insert? Seems like its made out of aluminum. Havent seen the backside of most inserts but sure doesnt look like this. Is it supposed to be like this?

Hi guys. Need your help again. Would it be possible to fit a dial without feet to a movement? I dont think i can put on a replacement dial feet. Would i be fine to just double sided tape the dial to the movement?
@Karbon74 @Singapore9 @RDRoss inputs much appreciated as always!

Yes
You need to use very thin tape and place it where it does not prevent anything from moving, especially hour wheel and date disk (ideally you should remove the calendar works on a nodate)

If you do this, you need to be precise in positioning the dial as you will have no guide

Short answer is yes. You can get dial dots which are essentially double sided tape already cut down to size.

Sorry - missed this one! Yes, that's a cheap, rubbish insert. Still, it's black and aluminium, which is correct. The backside is not. Did you order the Lobtime? Keep this in the drawer for spares but, yeah, I wouldn't say it was worth anything.

Havent ordered parts yet, although i have the sources bookmarked. Still waiting on the watch to come back from service so i can measure everything out and get the proper parts. Crystal has to be replaced so im starting with that then work my way out to the insert and then the bezel ring if the insert wont fit. Got the sources laud out so it would be a lot easier, thanks to you guys!
