Lets take it down a notch fellas.
When I first saw the pic posted by
@felixgun123 I recognized it as a gen, but then, the rep 26240s are already very close.. so for me it was just another 26240, gen or not. That is also why I seldom share pics of my gen ceramic 26240 or the steel ones. So in that aspect, Felix did not do anything wrong. He has the right to share pics of his watch, as long as its an AP.
@felixgun123 it does not matter what you own. I am a fellow gen AP, RM and Patek collector and I think I likely have a more extensive collection for each of the brands mentioned than most gen collectors here, but there is no need to try to either elevate yourself or deflate others based on your gen collection. It is but a hobby and personal proclivity and not a measure of one's worth or goodness of being. Feel free to share pics though, we all have a shared passion for the same hobby. Don't be offended if anyone calls out your gen as a rep. This is a rep forum and the same has happened many times to me when I posted mine. It is just something which comes with the territory. And you need to understand that the "big fish in a small pond" mentality isn't really something we enjoy collectively. By all means, share what you own. Guys will be happy to be part of the experience I am sure. But don't go overboard in trying to establish what you own and what they don't. For every fish here, there is a bigger one. If you choose to share your gens in a rep forum, then allow others to be part of your journey in an inclusive and humble manner.
For the rest of you, lets all be inclusive and not attack one another. If a wrongful assumption has been made about a watch's authenticity, then lets just learn and move on. There is no need to get aggressive. This is a picture sharing thread and all APs gen and rep are welcome. Lets be inclusive and lets play nice. Whether someone posts a gen, or a rep, lets learn to appreciate what the owner is trying to share.
