Fun is the name of this game that we all play sir. Guys often forget that in real life, the watches are mostly less than 50mm in size and often in motion.
The tells are known to us as wearers or other watch geeks but to the rest of the world, they won’t care and won’t know. This is the reality for most of us unless one happens to be working in a trade requiring horological expertise and even so, a lot of the modern reps will fly right under their radar.
No matter how accurate a rep is, the owner will know it isn’t and that is actually the ultimate and consistent tell. We often project this in the form of social anxiety or worry but these are largely unfounded 99% of the time
