Your gen isn’t exactly an “old gen” T lol. It’s a H series minimally if not an I series looking at the watch. Every gen is worth its price because of its heritage, provenance and pedigree and that is something no franken can compete with. You also get a solid identity on what your watch is, an Audemars Piguet ROO panda, which is something no franken can claim completely to be too. It all depends on what you’re after, but gen ownership cannot be undermined. I agree with you that a new and well built franken can look better than a used gen but eventually the franken will look used as well, it’s just a matter of time and degree of use.
Enjoy your gen for what it is, and it’s something a franken or even genstein will never be. You’re an owner of a true AP watch now and you need to enjoy the moments. I also own a gen panda ROO but I haven’t been wearing the watch as I favor the newer 26470 with ceramic bezels. The panda is a beautiful classic and still commands its value and demand.
