I still prefer the anniversary model as my all time favorite, but the story on this one sets it apart. Owning a nice watch like that from a trusted friend is like a physical embodiment of your friendship, much like a talisman that acquires juju from spending that much time in contact with its owner. And the fact that he is leaving the country will make this even more special. And when he comes back to visit and asks to buy it back in 5-10 years, you’ll have a hard time saying no, and things will come full circle as the watch will then represent you him that time spent with you. What a nice guy to sell it to you, you must have looked at it quite longingly. :)

I’m very impressed with it (besides the glue/varnish)
I’ve seen a ton of photos on here over the past few years but it truly looks better in the flesh, as do most AP.
