I have no problem paying cost or even more if it is from a member that I know and trust. The fact that he took the time to order it, wait a couple of weeks, break it in and handle any QC issues, take good detailed pics that are better than any dealer website or "photobucket" all at a price that I feel is fair or at least negotiable if I dont feel is fair.
This IS the free market after all... Price not set by a dealer but rather the buyers and sellers in that market. If costs are rising for reps then that could be for several reasons, but my guess is that the primary reason is that there have been an influx of "new guys" to the hobby which has driven up demand for replica watches in general. The demand for 2nd hand watches are due to all the reasons I listed above.
I think the new guys (and even the old timers) can sometimes feel more comfortable dealing with a member they "know" rather than the "unknown" of the Chinese rep world and the factors that they perceive as risky such as paypal vs western union and/or customs seizure not to mention the 3 week wait (that's got to be worth something???)
Hell, If I can get my watch ordered on Wednesday and have it here to wear to dinner on Friday night, that's called great service in my book....and would be an extra $100 if ordered from China....ha!
