He is an old-school Naval Aviator! He was probably born with a Breitling on his wrist!

So much for illegal’s taking jobs that American’s don’t want.
Obama wears a TAG whereas McCain doesn't know how many watches he owns.ThreadLocker said:I have never seen a close-up of either guys timepiece. However, if I had to guess, I would say:
Obama wears a solid gold Patek Philippe SkyMoon Perpetual Calender Tourbillon (Dual Side) $950,000 ---Purchased with campaign funds, a donation from the Woods Foundation, the PLO, and Tony Rezko.
McCain probably wears an old battered and bruised Breitling.
I make no excuses about being "Pro American." I am.pugwash said:It's demonstrative of the general bias of this forum that is shown in the poll. When I have accused RWI in the past of being more pro-American

The poll is tied. What bias are you talking about?
Poking fun at politicians is an aspect of free speech, a basic right being eroded in our country.
Nice edit.AllergyDoc said:I make no excuses about being "Pro American." I am.pugwash said:It's demonstrative of the general bias of this forum that is shown in the poll. When I have accused RWI in the past of being more pro-American

"pro-American (in Palin's use of the word)" means Republican.
For some people, those on the right seem to believe they're more American than those on the left. I am shocked how they come to this conclusion, but they do. Apparently, they love America more than those on the left who, according to them, obviously hate America.
Total fricking lunacy.
Love =! pride.ThreadLocker said:[Someone, who shall be left nameless (Michelle Obama), said: "For the first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country." What was her thoughts on this country prior to that? Obviously I love my country more than her. At least that is one example that disproves your point!

Do you still love your kids even when they come last in sports? Of course you do, but you won't be proud of them when they're doing sports.
Disproves, my arse. Even Laura Bush defended her:
"I think she probably meant I'm 'more proud,' you know, is what she really meant, I mean, I know that, and that's one of the things you learn and that's one of the really difficult parts both of running for president and for being the spouse of the president, and that is, everything you say is looked at and in many cases misconstrued."
Thanks for replying to the comedic part of my post.ThreadLocker said:I would be proud of my child no matter what, as long as the effort was there. I do not need a star QB, a straight A student, or a son who is a Presidential nominee to be proud of them. She is obviously only proud when the majority agrees with her view. Sad that a party that spouts diversity, fails to acknowledge the rights of others to disagree with them.

You think Laura Bush misinterpreted her? Really?
Are you going to tell us Obama is a Muslim next? Or are you going down the Communist route? How about he's one of those pesky Elitists? I await your next regurgitation of the far-right slander pages with eager anticipation.
I don't think that's legal. It's called subverting funds, or something.ThreadLocker said:McCain has $84 million. If Obama would have chosen to spend $168M, he would have doubled McCain. Would give him a fair shot tp win, right? Then, he could have practiced what he so eloquently preaches, and given the rest ($432M) to charity.

If you get political donations for your campaign, you have to spend them on the campaign[1].
About half of Obama's funding has come from donations of under $200, whereas significantly less (about a quarter) of McCain's funding was sub-$200 donations. This means an awful lot of people wanted Obama to campaign successfully. I doubt many of them would have been happy if Obama had decided he didn't want their money and given it away instead.
Nice try though.
[1] Which is why you won't find me complaining about Palin's $150k wardrobe much.
