In his title, “personal” and “consensual” are two very different. Also, “super reps” and “NWBIG” are similar but not necessarily the same thing. For example, I will not classify the ZF15500 as a super rep but it is NWBIG for me.
Likewise for the ZF15400. Not a super rep but also NWBIG for the grey and silver dials especially.
I think that each of us has our own list of NWBIG rep watches in the hobby and that is a sufficient definition without the need to use “super rep” which is very subjective.
There is also NO NEED for a consensus on a common NWBIG/“super rep” list as everyone has different expectations and tastes. It’s sufficient that each member has his own list and goes according to it without the list to be approved by anyone else. Also, how many members are needed to qualify for a “consensus”? 10? 50? The entire forum?
I definitely disagree with the watches on this list. There is no AP “super rep” currently and just as there is no need for everyone to be liking or wearing the same watch, there is no need for a consensus of opinions as to what is a “super rep”.
There should be a diversity of preferences and inclinations in the hobby and not some standard set for which watch is NWBIG and which isn’t. Buy what you like, every watch you see listed on the TD site is 101% rep and you can never get a 100% consensus on any watch you consider to be a “super rep” or NWBIG watch. The only way to resolve this is to let everyone have their own list instead of seeking a consensus in such matters, which will likely invite more disagreements than otherwise, like the responses to this thread have shown.
