I saw this watch on some other dealers site, so it is not sold only by KW?

Mehmet from Kuvarsit talked to ALE about the gen 388 he bought for replication. I guess that means it's made by them.

Sent from my iPhone 4S ?

Mehmet tell me about a PAM 505 bought for the replication. I don't know about PAM 388: I hope no necessary having a PAM 505

Either PAM 388 or PAM 505 are both made by KW

Regarding price, I can say that fiinish and care for details of KW has no price.
To buy or not to buy is just your decision, you are no obligated!

So now that I've had this on my wrist for a day or two here's some observations:
1) the rotor is slightly on the loud side. It's not distracting or anything, but it's there. I've heard this is an easy fix, so if someone wants to let me know how I'd appreciate it.
2) the rep strap, while looking nice, is just a rep strap. I've certainly had worse, but this strap is just ok I'd say.

Having said all that, I'll also say I still love this watch. Also, the lume is very good. Yesterday was an overcast day and when I came inside the watch was glowing.

I announced already this way when the release of PAM boutique KW PAM 417
Then it was a matter of gen-like feel leaving aside some flaws in accuracy. Now we have accuracy and gen-like feel... almost the perfection

You feel with KW watches that you are wearing a thing made with care

Spot on. I own watches by all the major factories including gen. Apart from the gen, nothing beats kw for overall fit and finish.

Just an anecdote. I gave my dad the noob 111 v3 a few months ago and recently bought the kw417. He sees it and asks me "why did you buy me a cheap copy"...

All the accuracy in the world doesn't make a difference to the average watch wearer, but they can see superior finish from a mile away. At the end though, what we need is a mix of noob accuracy, hfac AR, and kv finish.

It IS a great watch to wear with a suit.
However, I like to wear my watches tight on my wrist. I think this has led to the lugs becoming loose on mine. I've tried fastening with the screwdriver but it doesn't seem to make a difference......gives me even more reason to get a gen radiomir soon....

Put some blue Loctite on each screw and replace.
That should last at least until you can pick up a gen :)

I've thought of going this route, but then I'm pretty much tied down to the strap I loctite in. Half the fun of any Pam is swapping straps!

But you're probably right. Why let this stunner sit in the watch box? I'll do the loctite in time just so I can get it back on my wrist.

Actually, Vb, as long as you use the blue and NOT the red Loctite, you will be fine and able to change straps. And it will only take a very small amount.
There might be a fix to this issue with V2, as far as a better fit or maybe better quality screws. I have not heard a definitive answer as to what KW has done to fix the issue they were having with V1 (screws stripping, etc.)
I ordered a 388 from Kuvarsit, and specified the V1 with the Seagull movement, but it turns out someone paid just before me and got the last V1, which was a little disappointing, as I had also ordered the new lug bar and screw kit from Panatime. Have not received the watch yet.
My whole point to this long diatribe is...if your screws are loose ( so to speak) you might try ordering new screws from Panatime. It would definitely be worth the price to get that beautiful watch out of the box!

It's an interesting point about loctite. I didn't know you could still change straps with it in. Just assumed it was a one and done kinda thing.
I've ordered screws and rad lugs from Panatime before for my 288. But I still had a problem with them coming loose after a short time. Perhaps I shouldn't wear my rads so tight.
Thanks for the info!

Well...I use blue loctite on every bolt and screw on all my motorcycles, and remove and replace all the time...the trick is to not use too much, and reapply sparingly. I was under the impression that the rep screws were a lesser quality than the Panatime, and thats why they loosen up and sometimes strip. I could be wrong here, but I also believe the tiny little washers on those screws are to keep the screws from loosening. I have used that trick before with screws I don't want to over-tighten and need to remove a lot.

Nice posts of marcogumbo

The correct Loctite is 222 and 243 but any MIDDLE force thread-locker will work well
