No need to worry, Sead is THE dealer

Hi guys,

After recommandations to purchase a BP DSSD from Sead, I send to him a PM.

He replys the watch is in stock.
10 miin later payment is done.
I clearly asked him to send to me QC pics just after sending the money.
We are 3rd of march at this stage.
6th of March, after no answer since I've sent the money, I coming back to him once again regarding QC Pics. He asks to what email.
I reply to him immediately.
No answer, no QC pics, nothing.
10th of March, I sending to him another request for QC Pics.
11th of March he replys, "Sorry, it has been shipped" and join the tracking number.
I check this number and "surprise", it's only been shipped today...

What's wrong here? A guy is TD so no need to care about customers any more????

I am also waiting for a qc of subc from him paid last Feb 28, but still being more patient because he replied once that the superlumed is hard to find, today he replied that he will update tomorrow, let see. As for qc, I bought gmt2c from other td(wbk) same with you, I ask qc but he never send, when I received i found some flaws and a DOA. Still waiting for his reply. For a TD it should be ok and you must be full of patient that's what we pay for.

Sead is a seller who generally does not supply QC pics, and as a buyer it's generally good to understand what services TDs provide when you go into a transaction. While he may offer to provide QC pics, it's not his strong suit. He offers great watches a t a reasonable price, but sometimes is behind with QC. It's not an excuse if he committed to provide them, but many of us on this board know how it works.

In my experience, I've never had an issue with his service, and I've also never gotten QC pics from him either.

It could have been dropped at the post office in bulk with other packages a few days ago and they just got it out today. China Post is not as efficient as the USPS. And since the USPS rarely seems efficient, that should tell you something.

Irritating that you didn't get QC pics as requested? Sure.
Worthy of starting a "I'm not being fully served as a customer" thread? Certainly not.

Wait until you receive the watch and see if you have anything to be unhappy about, then go through the proper procedures before slamming a dealer.

As previously alluded, you will not experience Amazon or WalMart type service in the rep hobby. You may wish it and rationalize why you as the buyer should be entitled to it - but it ain't gonna happen.

Sead's QC is better than your own. He generally doesn't give QC unless requested on more expensive models from my experience. I trust his judgement though, I've never had a bad deal with Sead. I'd say of all trusted dealers, the one I'd trust the most in terms of making sure I get what I asked for is Sead.

You jumped the gun on your assumptions and also put a red flag up to other TD's that you probably won't be pleasant to deal with. Dealers will not put their reputations on the line for someone who doesn't "get" it yet.

In a hobby that is deeply seeded in the black market, patience and trust are two things you have to have. If you don't have them, I suggest checking out WUS or another hobby entirely.

Hi mate,

I got the same kind of problem : I ordered a white dial rollie and got (10 days after asking every day) QC pics of the dark dial model.

I felt the same as you and wrote a thread but so many replies to my thread were enthusiastic with sead that I patiently waited.

Finaly, I received the correct watch and the result was as expected !! We (rep lovers) often forget TD are making their business in small flats after their regular job..

Best thing to do when ordering from Sead is pay for the watch and forget about it!
You can trust Seads QC no problem. Most of the time you will get the watch before QC pics.

Ok, as it is my first experience I'm probably worrying to much. But guys you wrote lots and lots of great reviews for customer service etc. You have to understand that such a situation as i described it is not easy to understand on a first deal.
It's seems I have to pay patience and wait for the watch to be in my hand to judge.
If his judgement is good as you said I'll apologize for my thread.

When I ordered with sead I didnt receive any QC pics either but the watch was flawless, communication doesn't seem to be his strong point either.
Relax all will end well and when it does make sure you post some pics! :

You will have to learn that this is not ebay or amazon.

I felt the same way you did. My first(and last) purchase from sead was a complete cluster f*ck.
Communication sucks and QC, ha your dreaming.

Every TD has a different style and works, communicates differently.
If you are not happy with Sead, which no offense to him but, I dont blame you!

Find a new TD and shop around some more.

I know these TD's are straight up people. I have even had Sead tell me that he couldn't get me a watch I wanted because the ones he saw were not good. That's the kind of TD he is. Before you get into the rep game, you should really understand what is going on here. Threads like this just make you look like a fool.

+1. I have made literally 15+ purchased through SEAD. He is a stand up guy. I'm about to place another order tomorrow as coincidence will have it. Only one watch had an issue and he immediately took care of it after giving me a few options that I got to pick from.

I don't doubt Ryan is as good. Also I've ordered from hont, toro, Trevor and pure time all with great results - but for some reason I stick to Sead as my go to.

Sead contacted me and told that if the watch doesn't match my expectations he will take care of everything. I regret already the thread i opened. Sorry for this non-event.

PATIENCE: YOU ARE NOT HIS ONLY CUSTOMER, somethings are out of his control i.e. shipping

I have bought from sead early november and december i recieved qc pics
I bought from him in jaunaury no qc pics= arrives and no problem

sead is a good dealer
dont complain when you dont get qc things could be a whole lot worse
