Ultimate U-42 project

I've loved this watch since playing with the gen a year ago in Charleston SC. I've been hoping for an ultimate rep but nothing has been made. I finally decided to buy this from Watcheden:

This is one of the better looking dials but the case isn't Ti But I can't argue with the price! I plan to 'try' this watch for a few weeks, and see if I like it.

Then I'll be ordering this:

They claim Ti, it looks Ti.. I'll give it a shot. I'll be uncasing both watches and swapping all the internals.

This will also leave me with the parts for another project.........

I'll get a little review together once the first U-42 arrives, stay tuned.

Another thought might be to blast the case with white aluminum oxide... might even turn out better than the second version.

I will definitely be using the U-Boat buckle, it looks pretty solid and I like the fork tang. Even better if the Ti is legit.

Ugh... trying to find a Ti case from them...

One thing I've noticed about doing that is it almost needs to "season" after doing it. This is what it looks like in the beginning...

I'll take a shot of it after I get done grilling our Filet Mignon...

For $80 difference and the amount of times they've used the word "titanium", you would expect that it is.....awesome u have the numbered dial from the first 42, will look pretty spesh reminds me, I gotta reply to your pm lol

I will be looking forward to this review for sure, its hard to try and find a u-42 with the serial number on the dial. Let me know the quality of it when you get it in as i fancy one. I have bought a Classico (posted a small review) and the quality was better than i though to be honest.

This whole thing is dead.... Watcheden took a week to tell me that the watch 'is not in stock'. I asked for the Titanium version with the black dial and another week of no response.. I've asked for a refund, they wouldn't respond until I threatened to post about it on the forum... I'm still waiting for my refund.

oh dude thats a real shit...kinda like me still not getting a strap from a guy not on the trusted site , real stuff up. Try this place :www.progiftstore.biz or .org (same thing) and go into live chat to tell about what u need, or leave an email stating who you are etc. Tell them my name and that I sent u and they should make half an effort.

I've purchased 2 mickey mouse reps from them until i broke them (my fault 2 years later) Also, NOBODY on the list here could get the uboat parts I needed nor any other dealers, but progiftstore got me the PVD parts I needed for the movement. THey can't however, get the carbon dial and a7750 and hands that I need for it, but I'm going through Rochest at WI for that.

Give them a go an be ultra specific, the english is not too good
