I had ordered davidsans ultimate earlier this week which i look forward to receiving but i have this once in a life time chance to acquire a fully modded 112. There is a (Big Price) difference between the two. I can always give the DVN's Ultimate 112 to my brother who really likes Panerai, and keep the modded one to myself. So tell me which one would you get and why?

-CHOOSE AN EXTRA LEATHER STRAP BLACK/BROWN OR TAN COLOR
-EXTRA PAIR OF SPRING BARS
-FULLY TESTED WITH 3ATM WR

wow thats a hard one!!! both are nice. This is the thing thats alot of work that guy has done, but $1000 replica of a $4000 panerai is alittle hard to justify. Im pretty sure the movements decorated bridge is still wrong. Id get the davidsen and put a really nice custom strap.

save the money and stick with davidsens. you could throw a few more bucks into that one and get the cannon pin flushed yourself.

Actually I think the cannon pin is already flush on the Davidsen 112, for the price it's a good watch it has it's flaws but that comes with the territory. Same story with the fully modded 112, although with Jimmy parts being of better quality and almost impossible to source and the other mods its a nice package. I can tell you the fonts shouldn't be off white (I believe that started with H series sandwich dials) and also the dial isn't exactly like a gen, LSWISSL is too close to the 6, low bars on the A's, indices not quite the same as a gen "painted" dial, the gen indices actually are not flush with the dial but slightly recessed (I'm actually looking at my gen for comparison).

As I'm sure you can guess - I'm biased. BOTH are very nice, BOTH have flaws. I personally don't see a $600+ difference between the two. I've also never had the comments on another watch like I have on this 112 (although the 113 was close).

You all may be sick of the DSN pictures by now, so if so - click off this thread now as more are coming!

That $1000 model is nice but I would never pay that much of a percentage in relation to cost for a good gen used model. You can pick up a nice used model with boxes/papers in the $3,300 range. I won't spend more than 10-15% of the cost of a gen model on a rep, just a principle thing.

I agree with the general opinion. as nice as the $1000- modded model is, it just is not $600- nicer than the DSN. Good luck to you.

It is being offered by a private collector namely "Pierre" or his login name at RWG is 911RS. He had purchased most of the parts from Flav directly.

Thanks

don't spend 1k on a rep. I think you can find gen used 112's for well under 3k. NOT worth it ... :?

There is no way that I will spend 1K for a rep. You can already get a fine gen watch for that money.

The brown one is GeF Valdarno in Marrone. I believe it is 4mm. I once owned a GeF La Spezia which is 5.5mm and IMO, bodering on the absurd.

If you are talking about the un-stitched in the OP, that 112 isn't mine.....
