Stunning U-42! Post more pics please. Iam a huge U-Boat fan and have just received a new one from Sead however i am at work and can't get it on the wrist for another week!!! Great choice!

Looks like it has excellent detailing and it also has the 2 screws in the serial plate. What is the strap like and buckle? does the buckle have the "U" in it?

Take more in a second. not to keen on the strap, a few wears and might me OK. Would have been good if the face had the lmited number on it.

6497 Is a good solid work horse, you should have no problems with that. The case back looks really good but its not the same as the Gen, the engraving/inscription is not whats written on the gen. Also the Crwon holders has a different engagement than the titanium.

Other than those small things its an excellent watch!!!!!!

Iam not clued up on Tag watches but the Search button on here will give you a wealth of info or even just post a thread on the Tag section if you don't find any information.
I want another 2 U-Boats U-42 & 1001 before i go onto Breitlings then Hublots. I want to research each watch type that i want first before i pull the trigger. The wealth of knowledge on here about every kind of watch / Mvnt etc is just staggering and all the forum members are really cool and willing to help.
