Managed to find these pics, which are far better then anything I have seen on the web about this version of the replica. It obviously has its differences from the gen, but still it is damn nice.

Not just yet, but once my Flightdeck is in, I am getting this one.
TDs should be able to get it easily, it is still in "production"
im new to the site. the u-boat style is exactly what im after and i really love this watch. is there any new information on this? ive been trying to find a u-51 rep from a site that isnt completely sketchy for a few days now and im really having a hard time. then i came across this site and ive tried using the search function to find dealer threads but so far no luck (im not sure im even using it right). any help would be greatly appreciated.

I also am diligently seeking a reliable source for rep watches, in particular the u-51 that you are also looking at.
Now the original post on this thread was last year August. But after several deep digging, I may have found the site HeadBender may have used to purchase the U-51 Rattrapante he displays on here.
The other "good thing" I see with the site I found is that all the photos are taken over sheets of paper with their logos to show actual watches.
I am not recommending this site, as I have not ordered from them yet... but I might take the chance, with use of a credit card of course.
I telling you about this because just like you, I would love a good lead on where to purchase.
Check it out and let me know what you think, or if you have found something better.

Hi mate! Don't even think about buying from anywhere else than our trusted dealers here on RWI or you will get something that you don't want or even get scammed and not get anything. If rep exist and it's any good then any of our trusted dealers will be able to get it. Here is the list of TD's, send a picture of the watch to any of them and ask if they can source it for you:

Buying from anywhere except from them is the worst thing you can do. Believe me.
Also prices on this site are far more expensive then here. I'm looking to buy U-42 and it's $100 (!) more expensive then from some of the trusted dealers from which I'm ordering my reps.

Get ready for empty your wallet. I suggest you to start with super reps right at the beginning as you will sooner or later sell your lower end reps and buy better ones. I first started with quartz watches and now I don't even think about getting one without automatic movement.
You should just spend some time reading and learning and in few days you will know a lot more than now. You will enjoy here, this is great place with lot of good people wanted to help you.

Also I don't think there is good rep of U-51 except with quartz movement. Flightdecks, U-42 and maybe U-1001 are a lot better so take a look at them.

Sounds good to me... I am ready to catch up and see what's new when it comes to rep watches. I for one like to buy things only once as apposed to going the cheap route which usually costs more in money and aggravation in the long run.
I've noticed many talking about the different movements, Asian, Swiss, Quartz, etc., and that's where I am focusing my attention.
I like how I've been received here at RWI and what I've read so far. I plan on doing a lot more reading in the next few days and I already have my eyes set on a couple watches.
I am shooting for a 10 watch collection so I will be posting my progress with pics and I hopefully will be able to aid others in the future as you are doing with me.

It's better to do it this way. As you say, it's more expensive at the end. I thought I will buy this quartz and just wore it but then I began to read about Panerai (for which I earlier thought it was ugly), I catched the bug and that was it.
About the movements, some will say it's better to go with Swiss, some will support Asian. I'm also for Asian as they are far cheaper and are good quality, some say even better then Swiss as they are refurbished movements. I think especially 6497 and 2836 are really good and reliable.
Collection of 10 watches should be nice one. I now have only 4, 2 cheaper gens, 2 reps but it will increase soon.

Guys, Tony at Asian7750 can source the U-51 (With A21J movement or 23J - not sure)
I am trying to find the u51 as well. I also want to get a u42 and would like to order both from the same dealer.
