Hello there,
I would like to introduce you a build I recently completed. I'm actually fairly please with it.

Here is the parts break down:
  • Movement: Eterna 12824 (service by me) with correct KIF shock springs
  • Raffles case set (no problem with rotor clearance)
  • Raffles bracelet
  • Raffles hands (I don't like them, they are too short)
  • Gen Tudor 74033 dial
  • AliX gold tudor crown

One thing that I couldn't figure out with this ref, is whether it was fitted with an acrylic or a sapphire crystal.
I'd like at some point to get a better bezel and an acrylic crystal. But this will be for later.

Thanks

Thank you!

It's better than the raffles one and fits without issue.
Also what I really like is that it doesn't wind the movement when pressed in (like gen).

Very nice! You're so lucky to find a Gen Tudor prince dial. Enjoy your watch.

P.S. Could you please send me the link for the crown? It looks very nice! Thank you.

Looks to me like these came with a sapphire crystal. A set of Clark's hands for Tudor might be longer- that's what I used on my two franken DJ builds.

I think they might have started with acrylic and then switch to sapphire within the same reference:
As for clark's it's not very practical for me because I am based in Europe.

Changing from plastic to sapphire wouldn't surprise me, but when Tudor did that with the 79090 Sub, they changed the number to 79190. That was around the early 90s.
Cousins UK would be a good supplier. I've even bought from them here in the USA.

Yes, but I think if I wanted to change from a sapphire to a acrylic I would probably need to replace the bezel. And gen bezel are rarer than hen's teeth.
Also I could be wrong but I think the plastic version has a dial stamped "swiss" whether the sapphire version has a dial stamped "T swiss made T"
