some pics of the V6 (Left) versus Gen (Right)

the blue tones are not correct when placed side-by-side :picard2:
The lighting could be playing tricks in this picture, but the AR on the gen is definitely effecting the shade of the dial.

This is the darkest shade i have seen any gen picks, but it could certainly be true to market. It would not be the first time promo shots are one color and the gen turns out another.

Don't think the gen is that dark a blue. I actually think the V6's blue is much nicer.

I've seen the Gen at the AD many times and it has never looked that dark. It always looks the color of the rep. The Gen blue is almost cartoonish blue for lack of a better word not this dark blue in the pic.

ok dealer sent me more pics of the gen for your reference and it really seems it has a darker shade purplish blue, gen AR seems good as well from the pics.

Frankly, I think that gen has over time acquired a coating not unlike what you'll get in a polluted atmosphere like China's. That's probably why it looks so dark and dull compared to other gens we've seen. [emoji848]

hmm unless there are variations from Tudor itself (i.e. mark i, ii, iii etc) which i highly doubt so since this model is relatively very new, the gen used for ZF's replication is sourced from a reputable AD and is most likely from the first few batches. the gen's sapphire crystal could be single ar coated thats why in some shots you still the crystal vs V6's which could well be double AR and mostly invisible.

The question is - where did you get these photos from?

They look strange to me, to not to say - fishy, since I can understand the darker shade of blue on gen. What I cannot understand is darker shade of ...white elements (on bezel, on dial). White is not white, it is light grey. If source of these photos is not legit - I would think they are photoshopped at ZF's favor.

hey dude, tbh pics were sent to me by my dealer in which i did not doctor them in anyway nor am i affiliated with any of the factories be it ZF or v6. its up to you to believe if the gen is indeed a shade of darker blue.

you can see this youtube unboxing video of a gen blue pelagos, let me know your thoughts on the shade of blue you see in the video.

I see. So it must be sad truth - KW Pelagos blue has way too vivid shade of blue. Pity, since I like rep blue more :) Thanks for additional explanation.

Regarding video - I took a look at another video by the same author, and took a photo while watching the movie:

well what i suspect is the gen's blue will show different shades when view at different angles, a gen was used by ZF to replicate while maybe v6 could have use the pics from the net to replicate which results in the vivid blue example we see now, we will see once ZF releases their take of the blue pelagos.

Does anyone know if the zf or v6 have a titanium or stainless back? I know one of them had titanium for the black version.
