I had 42 XF and now i have 39 ZF V2. Both watches feels really good, XF were bit more solid in bracelet, clasp and endlinks. Downside (at least for me) was not perfect bezel action with little bit of backplay, which i had to modify to stiffen bezel. Also, hour indices are sharper and lume is applied differently than gen, bezel numbers are thicker and dial is really flat. With 39, other than shade lighter red in pelagos sign, indices and bezel font looks like gen, also the sunburst of ZF V2 is accurate. Bezel action is far better than my previous XF. I was sceptical about ZF V2, but i can say i enjoys it more than i did my xf 42.

39 blows the 42 away. 42 had too many flaws (IMO).

I have never had the 42, but the 39 Is so light and comfortoble..

I do not think so. Sel Will be Always be problematic for tolerance reasons (Titanium).
For the clasp i do not have any issue..
