Okay gen2 arrived, didn't take too long thanks to the gang over at Trusty. So this one is quite interesting because, like with all reps, you spot the minor flaws and indifferences the longer you look. The raised logo on the side crown for example, so refined on my gen and easily distinguished when held alongside the ZF offering. We get those comparison between v2 and gen yet @Got20Mate?
To be honest again is a 39 watch, I did not even noticed in the pics. Live you just can not see it.That black paint missing on the second hand would drive me crazy!![]()
Agree, out the box excellenceTo be honest again is a 39 watch, I did not even noticed in the pics. Live you just can not see it.
LE : had to recheck. It is just the suns reflection
I had a lot of reps I have to confirm this is one of the best! The bezel action for a rep is insane! It is comparable with some of the gens that I have / had. In paar with the titanium CW C60 lumiere
I was thinking the same thing. The boffins on here most likely have a plan!Next question, how one can darken Pelagos print color?
Cousins sells 2824-2 2 position levers (SELSW2004452) I always pop the date wheel and install one of the setting lever springs. It's pretty simple to do.V1 does so I assume this does as well.
If you can find a no date setting lever it will take care of this problem. I am by no means even remotely close to considering myself a watchmaker and I did not find this to be too challenging of a mod. Assuming you have the correct tools... I swapped in a SW200 and added a no date setting lever.
Next question, how one can darken Pelagos print color?
I'm doubting weither to pick up the gen or rep for the summer, are there any differences when taking of the bracelet? How are the endlinks, SEL good? Are the endlinks stuck to the bracelet, case or just lose as with other Tudors? Thinking of maybe adding a rubber from my bb58 to it. When it comes to getting a rep this good out the box, you'd have to be a big fan of the watch to even notice it's a rep without holding it. But that's the case with most reps these days right? The price you're paying for this thing really slides it nicely into the NWBIG.
The dial is pretty sharp in my opinion with a nice application of the raised indices and just a general "tightness" to it all on face. The sunburst of course is the biggest difference, bringing it even closer to gen.
I'm not the best with the photos but I hope they're helpful to you. The bracelet on the rep hasn't been unwrapped so you know which is which.
Movement running as you would with a nice click on thr bezel. Gets a hefty YES from me!

Happy to offer any more information if you want it. Well done ZF for fixing the dial, took it from a rep you would pass to one that you have to try, especially if you are a Tudor fan. Or just a hoarder like me!!
So far consensus is that bracelet is kinda trash especially t-fit has had many complaints.I'm doubting weither to pick up the gen or rep for the summer, are there any differences when taking of the bracelet? I second that the bracelet isn't the best, and to be honest when you're holding the gen it really stands out. But this is to be expected right? The price I paid for the ZF is a 10th of the price of the gen, it's literally 90% there so you can't complain. It's genuinely impressive how good it is and if you've not tried it yet, it gets my vote.I'm doubting weither to pick up the gen or rep for the summer, are there any differences when taking of the bracelet? This is exactly how I feel - For a rep, the dial is totally there and good enough. It makes me think of the White seamaster text on the 300m White Dial versions from VSF. Yes it's not quite right, but it's totally passable.Buy the Gen that's how
Come on, talking print colour is taking this way too far, the rep is 99.9% passable, if anybody spots the brighter red text and calls you out I would just applaud them and move on![]()
You could probably get a gen bracelet for 500-600.I second that the bracelet isn't the best, and to be honest when you're holding the gen it really stands out. But this is to be expected right?
