Model: Tudor Heritage Chrono
Movement: Quartz
Maker: unknown
Dealer: Hont

Gen:

Rep:

First impression:

The watch is a great piece of design (but that's just my opinion :) ). The casing is well executed, the engraving on the bezel side, crown and pushers is spot on. The bezel rotates with crisp clicks, the pushers and the crown are solid. The paint on the bezel has some imperfections that can barely be seen with naked eye. Only weak point is the bracelet: I found it too light with the inside part of the clasp without any engraving, all in all it feels cheap. On the other hand the links are fixed with screws (not cheap pins) and the outside engraving of the clasp is crisp and nice.

The dial, even with the wrong subdials placement, is the nicest part of the watch: it has a beautiful black/ matte paint, while the subdials have concentric rings as per gen. The markers are well aligned and the prints are very crisp, as you can see in the close-ups.

Lume is average, no pics though, I'm still struggling with my new camera :)

Biggest tells:

As said wrong subdials position and some imperfections on the paint of the bezel are only flaws I could spot. Can't say anything about the case back as I've never seen the gen.
Well, of course this rep comes with a quartz movement, while the gen is obviously automatic, however this may be a tell only if you open case back or listen to the watch ticking, as there's no moving hand unless you use the chrono :)

All in all, coming for less than 100 usd, this is a good rep with good value. I love this watch very much and I find it a real pity that no maker has made a proper rep of it yet, should it come out I would be the first to buy it. For the time being I enjoy this version

Some shots to compliment the wording:

As usual feel free to point out anything I missed or any inaccuracies stated, I will update the first post accordingly.

I would also ask you for feedback whether the pics are displayed full size, they seem to be cut to the right on my phone :(

Excellent review. An awesome bargain for $100 How does it wear? I will definitely get one if it doesn't wear too large. Nice pics, too!

You won't find almost anything on Hont's website, but he can source the same watches as the other dealers ;)
You better send him a pic of what you want so he'll get it for you.

This watch was around 90 usd, shipping via fedex 45, but I had a couple of other watches in the same shipment :)

Thanks for the compliments, much appreciated coming from you

I'm sorry, but I'm not sure I understood what you mean with your last sentence though...

Very nice! I have always liked this model. I wondered two things.
1) Why can't they make a mechanical (hand wind) Seagull version of these type watches?
2) Is there a reason why can't mark the subdials correctly? They must print them wrong on purpose.

In my opinion they're not making a "proper" rep due to lack of interest in this model. Maybe if the tudor black bay that's coming out will sell well, we will see more quality tudor reps in the future..
About the subdials, they work but they're in the wrong position due to the quartz movement.

great review
Thanks j. :)

Nice watch! ...are you going to share with us what other watches you got ? :)

Oh well, I had a Breitling Chronomat and a Patek Nautilus in this shipment :D
I would have posted some pics of these too, but I seem to get watches faster than I can take pics :dejection:

Nice selection. One of these days you'll have to share your camera rig / lighting set up too :)

Except for the annoying hyperlinks attached to each and every image, nice review with great photos. WTH... this looks like something I should get for myself. Not sure about using Hont, but might look into it.

Thanks

Yes, I know about the links... Sorry for that, but tbh I always write posts with my tablet and editing the IMG codes is a real PITA :/

This watch is very nice, and considered its price it's well worth a try IMHO.
Hont is my favourite dealer and has proved his trusted status to me, but I'm sure your usual TD can get you the same watch ;)
