I sent an inquiry to an AD on the leather strap. Waiting to hear back. Any suggestions on strap options ? I'm not a huge fan of Nato straps , but a well made thick one would look good on this watch. Post pics of what you suggest.

I saw a strap maker on RG posting on the big main thread there pics of distressed Black/Brown leather he was using to make BB straps. He could probably make you a nato.

Or buy some rings from vintasso.com and make one yourself.

I'm still partial to the strapped for time one. I plan to re stitch it in the Gen style with thicker thread made for jeans. Should be a good match.

McJules makes some nice straps. Think he mainly sells on RWG and RG and other watch forums. His strap company is Bond Tailored Straps, and hes in Canada.

I just dont get it guys. Am I missing something on these Tudors? I mean Tudor was the red headed step brother of Rolex and now everyone is falling all over for a 41mm Black Bay? What am I missing?

It's a big North American relaunch for Tudor, and they came back with a bang after about 10 years of being away. They're making waves in the gen world because of the hype. The designs are on trend, and the price is right. Nobody ever seems to care about the movements inside except for the die hards, and those die hards aren't buying stuff in the sub-$5000 range anyways.

I wasn't too interested at first, the maroon color kinda reminded me of my father's old Caddy's he used to have..
then after looking at it over and over, It grew on me. I has that nice vintage look with a modern touch. Their whole brand seems to be following that theme.
I think Tudor has been in Canada for a bit and are brand new to the US, so lots of new followers.

Yeah G I'm just not feeling it. I think the gold on the dial and hands on an all SS watch is killing it fir me. If it were 44 mm i might like it more. 41mm is sooooo 2002!

You know I wear big watches. But you have to mix it up. Can't lug around my Super Avenger or 372 everyday.

Just left the local AD and they want $180 for the leather strap/buckle. Not bad. I'm jaded by AP and Breitling prices.

That is pretty good. I heard they only sell it to you if they can confirm you own the Black Bay though. I should do more digging locally...

Well, I've bought watches and straps from them before. But he asked for none of that.

yeah a forward facing retailer can care less what you really own. You can say it is for a Seiko!! Total Bullpucky they will not sell.
