Today I made the mistake of trying the new Tudor Black Bay 41 monochrome...
And they had one available for sale. Even the version I like.

This sits on the wrist practically like a Rolex Submariner. Incredible!
It's a little thicker, but you don't notice it much when it's on your wrist.

It really has that vintage Rolex vibe, but with the feeling of a modern Rolex.
I really like this one. Damn, I think I'm going to have to get in trouble...
I didn't think I would like it so much.

I wish Rolex would release a submariner like this. Aluminum bezel, big crown no date sub. Beautiful 😍

Tudor is becoming the old Rolex.
The big crown submariner has always been loved by the enthusiasts. I have always loved this watch. But I don't see myself buying vintage yet.

This new black bay is basically an improved big crown, with modern materials and quality.

If Rolex launched a new edition of the big crown, it would be very successful, but they prefer to leave Tudor in this field.
In recent years, I have found Tudor's launches more amusing than Rolex's.

The new GMTs are really cool and the Black Bays are on point.
It's a shame there isn't a monochrome BB 58 yet (I can't stand faux patina).

But this new 41 is exactly like the “new” submariner. It's a 40.4 or 40.5mm. It fits more like a 40. Very comfortable on the wrist (I would say that wrists over 16cm can wear this watch well).

The BB 41 monochrome is the best Tudor ever came up with till date. In short, it is a submariner with a touch of classyness (the 5 link/jubilee) bracelet. It is metas certified. No original subs or vintage we subs from Rolex ever launch or come with the jubilee bracelet. Rolex only leaves the jubilee bracelet to datejusts and gmts.

As a Rolex/Tudor gen/rep owner. This is the best till date.

Yeah, the new Tudors also don't seem to hold their value well, so I'm eyeing up a black FXD MN on the secondary. Will see where the Monochromes are, maybe next year, when the hype has cooled off a bit.

Not yet. You seem to be a bit nervous about it as well.

Is there a way we can push this thread so somebody who’s a factory insider maybe can tell us?

Considering that the Pelagos 39 was released in summer 22 and was just now repped from ZF, I guess we have to wait a bit still. I think we can all agree that ZF is the one everyone will be waiting for. Maybe someone else will try to outrun them like with the Pelagos

Im hoping that this is so close to tghe other Black Bay 41's that this will be a quick rep considering how hot it is. Fingers crossed ZF is on it.
