A great review JL...Here are a few pics of the gen movement. From what I've read it has a Top Grade 2824-2 with a Kif shock protection.

Has anyone done a side by side with a 16610 or 116610 sub? Which does it most wear like? I am guessing from what I have seen probably the 116610

Cheers

i will be doing a pictorial with a 16610LV&a pam within e next few days. stay tuned for it.

damn! i was expecting a lil more decoration interms of the GEN mvmt. &i did managed to peek into my Black Bay while i got some1 to grease my o-rings&e movement looks exactly e same, except for mayb the portion under the rotor, i didnt really look that much tho. looks pretty spot on for the rep as well, mayb just not so deep engravings or thickness, etc.

anyone having bezel problems with theirs?
the watch is fantastic, but my bezel isn't very firm. It moves about 1/2 a minutes kinda as if it was a 120 click bezel.

Very cool watch indeed. I'm glad it didn't take that long for them to rep this thing.

Google image 116610 vs Tudor black bay. I'll post pics of mine whenever I get the bb in hand vs my gen sub.

Great review gen vs. rep, always love these:) Thx
Just to add: At overall almost 13 mm thickness it wears thinner (more flush to wrist) than the Sub-C (about 13,5mm) and the Seadweller (about 14,5mm) inspite the caseset looking larger. Still the most similar would be the Sub-C.
What I find with the Tudor is it´s easy to wear - and show - in any occasion (formal - leisure - sports - beach - dinner - meeting - supermarket), neither over- nor underdressed, whereas the Sub-C is not always that adequate or some people just have some prejudice against that brand.
So it´s ideal when having to change settings/ambience within the day without changing the watch.
Here You go with some fast compare pics of the Tudor vs. 116610, vs. 16600 Seadweller and vs. AP Diver. Enjoy:)

Mine, landed yesterday. I'm very satisfied. The crown on my watch is better engraved and the crystal is very good.
I polished again all polished surfaces and bevels, to rich an higher mirror finishing. I'll do the last buff of capecod after the summer.
