Been there at least 4 times now. The Shilin night market is the place for food. So is the Raohe night market. A good place for clothes is the wufen pu garment district, next to the Raohe NM

My last trip there was when the 101 was still the tallest bldg.

Their subway system puts many North American systems to shame.

I love the fact that I could grab an ice cold beer and some spicy pepper fried chicken nuggets along the roadside at 1:00 am

Nobody cooks their own meals. Eating at food markets is so bloody convenient and cheap.

I'm so excited!!! Going to Taipei in less than 30 days. Photos will come. I just google mapped my hotel I'm staying at and its walking distance to Wontoncraft. As a bonus, the Panerai boutique is right on the way. May have to wear my noob CrPO to the boutique and then whip out my noob 243 when I get to Wontancraft. Definitely getting a strap. Will post pics so subscribe to the thread.

Great mate! I was there for the new years eve countdown, great country, very polite and helpful people but i didn't like the food. Every where i go they sell this 'ru rou fan' and you can smell it from a mile away. I still feel like throwing up when i'm writing this haha! Hopefully i'll get over it for my next business trip there!

Taiwan is awesome, just avoid the pineapple cake, I hate that stuff with a passion but keep get given it
