Well set screws are like screws with the bolt head cut off. The trick now is to select a point which would fit the lug bars that you're currently using for the quick release system..

The end needs to pinch the QR lug screw at the gap but also needs to be at least flush into the case.

Well, ask any TD I guess. There's a new TD on RWG who advertises they will source parts for you without requiring you to have purchased the original watch from them and you don't have to buy a watch along with the spare parts (which is what some TDs put on as a requirement).
